So it's okay for me to enjoy these movies but I should be more open to other things apparently.

@MCUKnight11 - how is that bad advice? Enjoy what you enjoy, but try to also actively be open minded to change and unexpected differences... that sounds like great advice in literally every aspect.

Only reason you're taking a negative slant at it is because those words came out of Zack Snyder's mouth.

I love the MCU, but I've also been open to the direction the DCEU took during and post Zack Snyder influence. I see value and errors in the movies with and without his involvement. The MCU even has a plethora of idiotic or lazy mistakes and errors and dumb ideas, but I still see the value in them too.

I see the good and the bad in both, and I try to keep an open mind towards superhero movies that don't adhere to the MCU's overused and done to death template, and I end up enjoying all of these movies (for what they are).

So yeah, its perfectly fine to like what you like but actively work on expanding your understanding of things you initially dont gravitate towards and looking for positive aspects in them... that's actually great advice. But you refuse to absorb the quality of the message because you have a grudge against a movie director... lol

@MCUKnight11 - "open to other things" = pay me to destroy your childhood heroes

@PTM - I was just being sarcastic about the subject of the last article. I actually am doing a lot of new things in my personal life. That is good advice but the way it was said was immature and condescending. Lastly, no I don't have a grudge against Snyder.

@MarkV - Exactly.

@PTM - Just the other day I said people shouldn't just look to the MCU to be the pinnacle of fiction or art (pop or otherwise), and I meant it.

But Snyder isn't really a comicbook fan. He's a Frank Frazetta and schlock guy who happened to get his career wrapped up in mainstream comicbooks by way of Frank Miller and Alan Moore. So, yeah... he's not really into Marvel movies, which reflect a lot more of the traditional comics that Snyder has never had any real interest in. That makes sense.

"Sure, I like grapes, too, but I like lots of other, sweeter things better," grumbled the fox.

And for the record, there's nothing inherently wrong with not being a traditional superhero fan.

(I mean... I have to say that, right? But honestly, I don't understand how people could not be. Superheroes are awesome.)

@Spock0Clock - there have been tons of genuinely bad movies and bad directors through out history but it would be a hard argument to say there is a single other director in the history of cinema who has been as openly and widely insulted and ridiculed for simply making [frick]ing movies, than Zack Snyder. Its become a pop culture fad to hate on him beyond a reasonable degree. Just like it became widely popular to make fun of Michael Jackson for his appearance or to crack jokes about a President, its become a cultural phenomenon to utter roast anything Zack Snyder related merely for the sake of entertainment.

The guy is only guilty of making films out of stories that interest him. No matter the source material, he found the angle that he could connect with on a passionate level and made films he believed in.

The world might collectively think the films are terrible, but to even insinuate the backlash and vitriol Snyder faces daily from outraged nerds who's "childhoods were ruined" over a movie is justified , I seriously am concerned with that person's mental state.

And if a movie can ruin your childhood and turn you into a vengeful hater who has to verbally lash out at a film director every chance you get, you are a sad excuse for a human being. Most rational people just avoid things they dislike. I dont like tofu, but I dont show up to every tofu restuarant to passionately talk shit about tofu to everyone trying to enjoy their tofu. That would be beyond bizarre to me, which is why I find all the ACTIVE Snyder haters so bizarre.

I hate Michael Bay movies, but I dont click on every article about Bay to literally just have fun at his expense. That's ridiculous juvenile and really exposed the true character of a lot of the folks that come here.

Dudes just a director. He just made some movies the way that interested him. He has sexually assaulted anyone or done any of the hot topic issues that have been facing the entertainment industry as of late... he made some movies people strongly didn't like. That's it.

But hes what I'd venture to say is the most hated man in this genre. Even more openly chastised and made fun of than even Bryan Singer.

I guess it's not fun to joke about an accused pedophile, but it's super fun to make fun of Zack with the mob of other twats who enjoy it too.

The hate for Zack is overwhelmingly disproportionate to the negativity he deserves, which really isnt any negativity aside from just not being a fan and moving on with your [frick]ing life like a sane individual would.

@BlackBeltJones - It's been so long now I can't even remember where I first saw the comment, but after a point where Ant Man had become an official character and we knew the last show down would be against Thanos, someone laying down that surely the way they beat him is Ant Man crawls up inside his ass, then reverts back to original size lol

@BlackBeltJones - Is that a...you know...naughty joke? Maybe I'm a little slow.
