Feige with the quick answers. "Done."

I feel bad for the people who were in situations like Hawkeye and chose to commit suicide and then their loved ones are brought back only to find out the people they loved killed themselves years ago because they turned to dust.

the more Cap with Evans as Steve... the BETTER

@MotherGooseUPus - Cap kicked more of Thanos's a$$ with just Mjolnir than Thor did with both Mjolnir and Stormbreaker tsk tsk.

"Of course, the people on planes who died because the pilots were dusted may not have been so lucky!"

Us nerds just want to nitpick and take the joy out of everything HAHAHAH. Couldn't SMART HULK have solved this query too??

Anyway the real question they need to be answering is "2 CAPS" in the timeline?? So essentially there's one captain america who knows about all the bad shit that happens in the world from 1945 or whatever - until 2016 (whenever ice cap is unfrozen)....AND does nothing about these horrors?? I need explanations!!
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 8/12/2019, 3:34 AM
@OptimusGrime - There weren't 2 Caps in our timeline. There were two Caps in whatever timeline he lived in with Peggy.

As they explained it, you can't go to the past and change future events, so by him living with Peggy, it DEFINITELY would have changed what happened after he met up with her in the past. So it would have had to create an alternate timeline.

People use the argument that you can only create an alternate timeline if an Infinity Stone is taken from it. But they never said that was the ONLY way to do it.

When you think about it, Peggy would have inevitably lived a very different life with Steve, which absolutely would have changed her future. And then when you add in the Butterfly Effect, there's no telling what else would have changed.

bkmeijer2 - 8/12/2019, 3:46 AM
@CorndogBurglar - But the argument that could also be brought up is that the MCU we have been watching for the past decade is already the whatever timeline where Cap already returned.

Personally I prefer that there is a timeline where world history changed massively since 1948 (or whenever Cap returned), because I think Cap would never not act when he knows danger is around
OptimusGrime
OptimusGrime - 8/12/2019, 4:39 AM
@CorndogBurglar - See this is where everyone confuses it!! if Steve was always her husband, then his going back in time to live with her DOESN'T create any changes, and the universe never has to branch off. It explains why they were always so vague about mentioning her husband or family - it was always Steve. So Caps timeline is cyclical... theres always 2 caps..and one lets world horrors occur whilst chilling with peggy! wtf??!
OptimusGrime
OptimusGrime - 8/12/2019, 4:57 AM
@CorndogBurglar - "People use the argument that you can only create an alternate timeline if an Infinity Stone is taken from it. But they never said that was the ONLY way to do it"
COME ON DUDE - we're not working in maybes and what ifs! we can only go on what we've been told and what we've see...we cant use "ifs" as qualifiers. And of course the MCU we've been watching is the timeline cap returned..anything else is just too much and too deux ex machina!
OptimusGrime
OptimusGrime - 8/12/2019, 4:59 AM
@MalseMarcel - exactly...doesnt make sense for cap to just chill and watch shizz happen. Id like a cap story where he's involved with these world horrors but on secret misssions and shizz...that would be dope. ooo maybe secret wars?!? if you've read that comic? great way to bring in wolverine etc
bkmeijer2
bkmeijer2 - 8/12/2019, 6:28 AM
@OptimusGrime - Which of the two Secret Wars do you mean? Or just Secret War, since that does focus on a secret agent Cap amongst others (if I remember correctly)
OptimusGrime
OptimusGrime - 8/12/2019, 7:09 AM
@MalseMarcel - errr not 100% sure. Its the one where Cap, wolverine, luke cage, widow do an undercover mission somewhere like latveria?? Yeeah "Secret war" from what i remember?? sorry losing nerd point here. But yeah...might be a good way to give cap a break and re-introduce with other characters ...ie mutants?? Thoughts??
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 8/12/2019, 7:26 AM
@MalseMarcel - I suppose that would make sense.

But where does that leave Sharon Carter? Does that make Cap her father or grandfather? We can even say she was born before Cap got together with Peggy.

But either way, doesn't that make Sharon and Cap having a crush on each other and even kissing during Civil War kind of.....disgusting? I mean, she would pretty much have to know he was related to her, unless him and Peggy just lied to everyone about who he really was, including their own family.
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 8/12/2019, 7:30 AM
@OptimusGrime - Lol. I get what you're saying and yeah, that would work I suppose.

But like I just mentioned to MalseMarcelm where does this leave Sharon Carter in all of this?

Is she Cap's daughter or grand daughter? (Sorry, i'm not clear on how many generations there were between Peggy and Sharon) Did Cap and Peggy keep the fact that her husband was Steve Rogers a secret from everyone, including their own family and children?

Even if Sharon is related by blood, Peggy had a child BEFORE Cap married her, thats still pretty weird and gross that Cap and Sharon had a crush on each other and kissed.

Its like a whole Luke Skywalker/Princess Leia thing.
Chewtoy
Chewtoy - 8/12/2019, 8:28 AM
@CorndogBurglar - Peggy is Sharon’s Aunt, not mother or grandmother.

I get that the time-traveling generational thing makes it really unusual, but there are plenty of instances of people dating the sibling of a prior romantic interest in movies and real life. Cap kissed two members of the same family who were around 30 years old at the time. As scandals go, that’s pretty tame.
OptimusGrime
OptimusGrime - 8/12/2019, 8:34 AM
@CorndogBurglar - oh god yeaah...mind blown!! didnt think about that ...grossss! But isnt sharon peggys niece?? stilll...so by way of future/past ignorance cap has kissed his niece..technically before she was his neice?? or after??? Jeezz youve thrown an incest loop in there..which cannot be ignored!!! GODDAMN YOU CORNDOG!!! Hahahaha
bkmeijer2
bkmeijer2 - 8/12/2019, 9:01 AM
@OptimusGrime - Yeah Secret War is the one where Fury plans to overthrow Latveria. Although the premise sounds pretty cool, but I wasn't a fan of the ensemble of heroes (Cap, Spidey, Daredevil, Black Widow, Luke Cage and Wolverine).

I much rather see a limited Disney+ series where Cap just stops stuff, like the JFK assassination and 9/11 or even stuff like ocean trashing or oil and gas leaks from happening. Although Loki's series is also gonna focus on changing history, I think it would be fun to see Cap storm in BP's HQ to warn them about Deepwater Horizon
newhire13
newhire13 - 8/12/2019, 10:04 AM
@OptimusGrime - IDK, they win and save the universe with the way the timeline turns out. If he goes back and changes things that does run the risk of changing things so much that they don’t win. The future goes from a certainty to all bets are off. That’s something I’m sure Cap considered. It’s definitely a tough spot to be in.
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 8/12/2019, 1:03 PM
@Chewtoy - Its tame? Have you been reading the rest of our conversation? OptimusGrime is saying that Steve was always Peggy's husband since the beginning of the MCU. That means he's related to Sharon Carter.

He isn't just kissing or dating a sibling of a prior love interest. He's kissing his niece.

That's not tame, man lol
Chewtoy
Chewtoy - 8/12/2019, 2:54 PM
@CorndogBurglar - One, They never dated. They kissed, once. Neither one of them was attached. Neither one of them are of any blood relation to each other. They were both the same age when it happened.

That’s tame.
OptimusGrime
OptimusGrime - 8/13/2019, 2:01 AM
@MalseMarcel - I get what you're saying...but a lot of this stuff would be changing history as we know it. I'd like it thaat these things still happened - maybe theres a politics struggle that cap has to deal with in that he has to let these things happen (911 / deepwater etc) to stop even bigger threats that we as the public would never know about it? All done under the banner of a secret captain america - working in the shadows...with mutants! Im telling you bro...we could write this...we could do it now haha!!
OptimusGrime
OptimusGrime - 8/13/2019, 2:03 AM
@newhire13 - But what im saying is that he goes back because THEY WIN...knowing they win...knowing the sacrifices made. Because his life is a cycle..they're are always going to win if you get my meaning. Every Cap thats unfrozen ..starts the loop again
bkmeijer2
bkmeijer2 - 8/13/2019, 3:44 AM
@OptimusGrime - I totally get where you're going with it, but I think it would be better if we just fill it in ourselves rather than trying to make it canon. Thats the fun of the ambiguity
OptimusGrime
OptimusGrime - 8/13/2019, 3:57 AM

From the title I took it as old cap got dusted in the 2019 blip and returned with the 2023 snap. Anyway, do people still don't understand that asking Feige questions always leads to a non-answer
Kurne
Kurne - 8/12/2019, 3:53 AM
I don't like how the opening of FFH answered this question. Honestly any person could figure out what Feige's saying here. But the opening [of FFH] is so quick to contradict that by that tiny footage alone. Just made it worse for the people picking the little details of the snap apart.
Kurne
Kurne - 8/12/2019, 3:55 AM
Also, am I the only person who can't take "The Blip" seriously? When it first came on in FFH I thought it was just gonna be the kids way of referring to the situation. It sounds weird.
