Sure would be a shame if that armor were to go missing in the aftermath of Endgame.. Perhaps a wealthy scientific industrialist could be of some assistance!

@NormanVOsborn - But, shouldn't he be the Green Goblin first?

@NormanVOsborn - if they do their own take on Dark Reign, this could work.

The ramifications of The Snap forces a massive restructuring of the United States' defense network. SHIELD does make a return but because it was compromised in 2014 its decided that S.H.I.E.L.D. may no longer be a completely effective and trustworthy organization.

Norman could leverage his own success as a means to start his own law enforcement agency that the govt trusts; one where the foundation is built upon being up front and open with the govt. Norman manipulates the U.S. government into allowing him to serve as director of a replacement agency called H.A.M.M.E.R

@BlackBeltJones - Someone really wanted Tommy Lee Jones for Osborn

@NormanVOsborn - I just wish they hadn't wasted the Iron Patriot on Rhodey. Nothing against Rhodey, but they haven't done anything meaningful with the color scheme. It holds no significance to his story and means nothing to anyone around him, so he may as well have just remained War Machine.

If we saw it for the first time with a post-Green Goblin Osborn using the images of both Steve and Tony to give himself legitimacy, we as well as the heroes of this story would have this feeling of "How dare that f#$%er." It'd be especially meaningful for Peter and Sam who are attempting to live up to the examples of these characters. Sam may be facing some resistance from the public in accepting him as Steve's successor, yet some of those Sam-haters are quick to embrace Norman for some reason...

Obviously when they introduced the Iron Patriot color scheme, they didn't know if they'd ever get to use Norman Osborne. It can still work, but I definitely think it would be more impactful if Norman wore it first.

@NormanVOsborn - its possible this iteration of the IP armor is already tied to Osborn... if he really did take over Stark Tower. I don't see why not if AIM was already tied to the prior armor... the US govt is subbing out the work and giving away Stark tech as a side result. No doubt Osborn will be seeking Spidey's nano-tech armor as soon as he can get his hands on it. And how better to do it than become friends by being a Tony Stark stand-in father.

It might as well been black, mainly because I didn't even notice. And this suit looks like it could deal some pretty heavy damage, too bad we didn't really get to see that

Did not notice due to all the smoke that covered the battlefield tbh but it was indeed a badass armor!

Time for Incredible Hulk 2 sequel. Call it Wolverine VS Hulk. Kills two birds with one stone :)

Great buddy movie. Start off fighting each other but find out their both fighting the same bad guy.

I still don’t understand why (and when) did he switch to the Iron Patriot armor? It was so random lol
Kurne
Kurne - 6/12/2019, 7:52 AM
@KWilly - it was when Rhodey got stuck under the rubble at Avengers HQ after Thanos attacked. He had to eject from his main suit to escape and help Rocket. Then Ant-Man saves them and they show up at the final battle with Rhodey in the Iron Patriot, which anyone can assume was simply stored at the base by Tony.
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 6/12/2019, 11:39 AM
@Kurne - yes that's the assumption but how does one get the armor under all the rubble?
DillonEnnis
DillonEnnis - 6/13/2019, 4:33 AM
@MyCoolYoung - Tony's had armor get him out of a jam a bunch of times, not too much of a stretch of the imagination to assume Rhodey would have that capability as well especially considering in the 5 years after IW Tony was fully retired and Rhodey was still War Machine

The final battle was such a blur of awesomeness, I didn’t even notice the colors on Rhodes armor (though I did recognize that it had been upgraded). And I saw the movie twice.

It’s weird to me to think that Rocket hung around with the Avengers for 5 years, which is probably longer than he had been with the GotG.
JonC
JonC - 6/12/2019, 10:27 AM
@Chewtoy - when rhodey, rocket, CM, etc all called in to report to BW... he obviously wasn't there... he was out in the galaxy doing good deeds. Yeah, what a change for rocket. But still, even while out in the galaxy, he was with the Avengers... his new family.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I hated that armor. So clunky. Really didn't work in this movie.

@CapstheMFingMan - I love the clunkiness but wish it were war machine colored and not iron patriot
