"You could not live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me."

As expected, tickets for Avengers: Endgame are now on sale (be sure to check your local theater listings), and Marvel has debuted a new extended TV spot to accompany the announcement.

The minute-long spot packs in a lot of new footage, as the surviving members of Earth's Mightiest Heroes band together in an attempt to undo the devastating effects of the Infinity Gauntlet. We see Stark and Pepper Potts share an emotional hug, a forlorn looking Rocket, Cap and Tony shaking hands (we really thought they'd save that moment for the movie!), and more.

Plus, we finally get a proper look at the returning Thanos, and he seems very confident that he can withstand a second attack from the reassembled team.

Check out the "special look" below, and let us know what you think.

@Pitydafool - damn! I can't even get AMC or Fandango to work to even get my tickets

@Evansly - Yup I have a buddy who cant buy his IMAX tickets (he is buying like 6) because the site keeps crashing so he bought 6 at a different smaller theater just in case the IMAX didn't go through.

Either way seeing this movie on a Thursday with super fans like me sounds like a good time

@Evansly - AMC and Fandango dropped the ball. I was trying for almost an hour on both sites before a friend found them for me on another theaters direct site

@PrincessLeather @Pitydafool - I ended up going with Alamo Draft House, a little further and worse seats than the AMC I tried for but an earlier showing and bigger screen so it works out.

@Pitydafool -First post here on CBM (been using the site for about two years) so go easy. Fandango went up around 8 whereas the franchise chain lagged by about 10 minutes. Me and a buddy were coordinating for tickets (it’s a hardcore group that has been going together since 2012). We coordinated a showtime after 6pm to have a better chance for success. My buddy gets his at 8:02 while I’m choosing mine (by the way, let me just interject that we had been discussing this for weeks on end). I get through up to the payment window and my buddy tells me to change the seats. By simply clicking the ‘Back’ button, I lose all of mine in one fell swoop, with no possible hope of recovery.....2 minutes into the on sale window.

We managed to book an earlier showtime at a different theater and get the seats that we needed within about 3 minutes. This however, is not our preferred go-to (distance) but, hey, it’s Endgame. My buddy has to disconnect so I agree to try and secure the other set of seats in the original theater.

Within about 20 minutes of opening sales Fandango goes completely haywire. Crash city. They keep listing seats as available that are bought and then bounce you before the payment screen (system obviously cannot keep up with the demand and buyer speed). 30 min into onsales, Fandango’s website puts up a queue just to get into the buying process. First it was 6 minutes, then 25 minutes, then >one hour. All the while I’m trying the franchise chain itself and getting endlessly scrolled out. I actually had 2 sets of tickets that were bought and refunded back to my card instantaneously because the system double booked. I spent the next 2 hours and 20 minutes hammering away until I was able to snag shows for Thurs, Fri, and Sat after Herculian effort and an apparent Fandango reset or two.

This after starting at 7:55 w every theater and every seat available. I have to tell you that someone is going to be very pleased when the original block of seats go back to availability today. I can’t really blame Fandango in this because Endgame is a once-in-a-lifetime event.

Anyway.....sorry for the long-windedness off all of that, but it is my first post here and I felt there was no better event to encapsulate this than what we’re seeing today with this.

@SauronthePower - It's crazy. I got my tickets because I usually go to small higher priced posh theaters (reclining seats with comfy covers and pillows)

but the major chains have been crashing. During infinity war I saw the movie twice opening week. I wanted to see it 3 times but I literally could not. EVERY theater in my area was booked for ever time. I've never saw anything like that before.

I feel this will be worse.

@Pitydafool - I agree. What kills me is that me and my friend had been planning this for weeks and then he balked about the seat position (it was a REALLY miniscule balk) and I went from having the pick of the litter to being hopelessly blocked out in the space of about 20 seconds. And this was 10 minutes BEFORE everything crashed. We’re going to a huge theater (does have the recliners) so I’m jazzed about the audience nutiness (which I love on opening weekends, to me there’s nothing like the pure visceral reaction to the surprise factor) but it is not our theater of choice.

My other shows were where I wanted them so I can’t complain seeing as what people are dealing with just getting any show at this point. I will say that Fandango did a hard reset of emptying their queue and tickets for premium Thursday showings were available after 2 hours because of that.
