AVENGERS: ENDGAME Title Has Been In Place Since Before The Movie Even Began Production
Despite reports that Marvel Studios was mulling over a number of titles, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has now revealed how long it's been in place and the meaning of that line from Doctor Strange.
During the build-up to the release of the first teaser trailer for Avengers: Endgame, we heard that Marvel Studios was mulling over a number of titles, including Avengers: Annihilation. However, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has now revealed that it was always the plan to call the Avengers: Infinity War sequel Avengers: Endgame.
"It was in place before we started developing the movie or just as we were developing it, yes," Feige revealed on the red carpet of last night's Golden Globes. "So, Doctor Strange says that line because we knew it was the title."
As suspected, the title was indeed said in Infinity War, and it's going to be very interesting to see how Endgame ties into Strange's words and whether theories that the one future he saw where Earth's Mightiest Heroes would defeat Thanos included his demise and eventual resurrection.
It's a little frustrating to think that we spent all those months speculating about the title and hearing rumours about what it could be when Marvel knew all along, but these things happen!
