Well, this is pretty damn impressive. It's been confirmed today that the first trailer for Avengers: Endgame has already become the most viewed trailer in history and these numbers are mind-blowing...

Does Marvel Studios have another $2 billion hit on its hands? Well, if you were doubting the fact that there's a huge amount of excitement surrounding Avengers: Endgame, look no further than the fact it's now the most viewed trailer in history (just 24 hours after it was released online).

The first Avengers: Infinity War trailer has received 215 million views since being released last December, while the first Captain Marvel trailer is still only on 47 million views (the second, meanwhile, has 23 million). In terms of DC, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's first Comic-Con trailer received 72 million views and Shazam! has received a total of 24 million so far.

It's not clear whether this figure includes views from social media websites like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, not to mention those from third-party YouTube channels.

Either way, you don't need us to tell you that this is an incredible feat and things are looking good for Avengers: Endgame (which really isn't a surprise). Can you imagine any other movie beating this record? Avengers 5, perhaps? Share your thoughts in the usual place!

Shows that a trailer doesn't have to reveal much to be impactful.

@ODanil - while it revealed absolutely bare minimum teases in regards to plot elements, it was absolutely chocked full of character motivations and very telling about the arcs they will be undertaking in this film. It showed the mindset of these defeated heroes and the over all tone this movie will take from the jump. While it was devoid of action sequences and plot allusions, it was absolutely brimming with content and nuances to absorb, hence why it became the most viewed trailer of all time in 24 hours. People don't spam watch a trailer that shows absolutely nothing. It actually provided everything while revealing nothing, making it an expertly crafted and well designed trailer.

"It's not clear whether this figure includes views from social media websites like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, not to mention those from third-party YouTube channels." Actually, it is pretty clear Josh. The Avengers: Infinity War trailer had 239 million views in its first 24 hours. NOW it has about 215M views ALONE on the official YT channel, see the difference? This 289M figure for Avengers: Endgame include everything (Marvel Studios YT, FB, Twitter, Instagram and other third party accounts, etc).

@Tcb97 - I was about to point this out as well. It's a small thing, but it shows how Josh works. He doesn't research.

I get the hate about the constant posting, but I don't mind it that much. It's entertaining when the site is slow. However, he does have a habit of not doing his homework too well before rushing to post content. That, on top of the spoilers in headlines and his overuse of the phrase "We'll just have to wait and see".

Awesome! It was a heck of teaser trailer!

I do sometimes wonder...what are the popular thing with kids these days that in 20-30 years will be what CBMs are now?

I guess something like that might be trailer viewer breaker?
🤷‍♂️ 😂 🤷‍♀️ 😉

As I'm sure Endgame will make more than Infinity War, I DO wonder by how much...

IW did nearly $1.4 bil foreign and nearly $700 mil domestic. With the cultural cache of the Marvel/Avengers brand skyrocketing after Infinity War, I'm 115% sure Endgame will pass $700 mil domestic, possibly going into $800-900 if it becomes a Force Awakens type of phenomenon.

But what about foreign? Will it do around the same as IW (1.4) or will it completely DECIMATE it, the way IW did the first two Avengers films (nearly $500 mil more).

I'm no box office expert, but it's fun to think about.
