@PlusUltra - They could’ve had the merge on-screen and this was the perfect place to do it. They write a scene with a character that can knock the soul out of your body (which she does to Hulk), and they DON’T use it so Hulk and Banner’s souls can communicate and resolve their issues. Instead it’s simply used for Infinity Stone time travel exposition. This sequence should have been the point where Hulk and Banner confront each other and resolve their conflict, ultimately resulting in a merge, or save the merge for right before the snap or something. Wasted opportunity man.

Sounds like it could've been a good little side quest, but would've only added to a long runtime. (Although, Endgame is one of the fastest 3 hour movies I've ever sat through!)

I would've liked to see this. Whats another 5 or more minutes of this AMAZING film anyway?

I've watched it 3 times since I bought it a week ago. Thanos giving his speech at the end about how much he's going to enjoy destroying Earth reminds me of the scene in Shazam when Sivana is giving his evil soliloquy and Shazam can't hear a word he's saying.

@blackandyellow - There's a minor continuity issue in that scene for me. When Thanos knocks Steve back with his sword, it appears Steve gets knocked back aways, but not super far. But, when the camera pans back to show that awesome shot ^ it appears the two are almost half a mile apart! At that distance, I don't think Cap could've even heard his "I gonna enjoy this" speech. Minor quibble, in an otherwise mindblowing scene!

Just rewatched the movie, but I didn't think about it then (and dunno if it's explained properly); how do the Avengers know that the Time Stone would be in New York in the Sanctum during the battle for NY? Was that just the only building they knew had a 'connection' to the Time Stone and were lucky that TAO happened to visit during the alien attack?

@educaz - Yes, they were lucky. They thought Strange would e there with the time stone. They didn’t know Strange only relatively recently became sorcerer supreme, with time stone and sanctum lease.

@educaz - And, if needed, Hulk could stay there as long as necessary to wait on Strange. Years even. No matter how long he stayed in the past, he would still be brought back to the right time along with everyone else.

@Rosraf - thanks. Oh, yeah, I guess Banner does actually ask for Dr. Strange only to be told that he'd then be five years too early. Quite lucky - it wouldn't have been easy to hide in NY for five years when you're like 8 feet tall and green. :)
