"Somewhere there's a great Moon Knight movie, but it's complicated."

Alright, this sounds very interesting

@MalseMarcel - They've elaborated on Kevin Smith's podcast about this. McFeely was just throwing that out there, it didn't sound like there was an actual project in motion. The complication he was referring to, was how to break down the years of iterations of the character(i.e. power set, psychological situation, etc).

Simple way to explain mutant, obviously very few should already exist, Magneto, Professor X, Wolverine and a few others, but have maybe 10% of the people brought back from the snap, have their mutant gene activated by it, also would retcon Quicksilver and scarlet Witch into being mutants again, the mind stone didn't give them powers, it activated their mutant gene
ChrisRed
ChrisRed - 5/13/2019, 4:20 AM
@dracula - that could be a way to explain mutants in the MCU.

@dracula - piggybacking off of that idea, have a Wakandan develop the ability to manipulate the weather after she returns from being snapped. Then, T'Challa has to seek out someone to help her control her abilities, as he does not understand them. This leads T'Challa to Professor X, somehow. T'Challa is understanding about the existing Mutants being in hiding, as Wakanda has done so for an eternity. Prof X agrees to take the Wakandan (Storm) into his school, until she can control her abilities. T'Challa gives some big speech to Prof X about coming out of hiding and helping the world. Climax of the movie is the first team of X-Men coming together to face whatever threat. It looks like they might lose, and Storm shows up for the win.

Then, you could tease Avengers vs X-Men by having the central conflict being "why haven't the X-Men helped with anything".

Or something like that.

I think House of M would be a great movie but the X-characters need to be established first. And yes, Wanda needs a power boost before she can change reality.
Spock0Clock
Spock0Clock - 5/13/2019, 4:29 AM
@ChrisRed - She doesn't need a power boost, per se. She just needs a reason to fully lose control in a way that we haven't seen before.

@Spock0Clock - I thought her fight against Thanos as Endgame was already a set-up. She doesn't need a power boost, indeed.
ShimmyShimmyYA
ShimmyShimmyYA - 5/13/2019, 6:30 AM
@ChrisRed - she could just get the reality stone somehow whenever they decide to bring the stones back cause they weren’t actually destroyed

The top of my mid-to-long term wish list is Exiles. Now that a multiverse is firmly established, and after some time to set up the MCU versions of some more characters, the Exiles is where you would really get to play with a mature, continuity-rich world, with a multitude of actors who may be interested in returning in a new and surprising way.

(Maybe instead of officially being called "Exiles", that could be the gimmick of an MCU Excalibur team, since Cross-Time Capering is something they've done their share of, along with Brian's own dimension-hopping.)

But for right now, I think it's time to scale back a bit. Focus on some more character-driven stories. House of M is just a way of doing character vignettes, so I get the appeal, but Marvel should probably let time travel and mind-bending rest for a bit (except for characters like Doctor Strange where that's just an average Thursday).

I say no rush on the mutants they can slowly come around as Marvels First Family are introduced which I think should have a teaser in Spidey FFH

Somewhere down the line have Doctor Strange try to teach Scarlet Witch how to control her powers, but discover she's far more powerful than she believes. That opens the doorway for a potential power increase. I've always seen her powers as being similar to a sorcerer but just chaotic. Hence why her powers appear wispy and not structured like Strange's or Wong's. Have her take on some training to control it, only to unleash more power. There, problem solved.

Did people question Kitty Pryde's ability to suddenly send Logan's mind back into the past in Days of Future Past? We did, but also, didn't give a shit.

I think for Dr. Strange 2 we're going to see a Dr. Strange and Hulk team-up.

In the movie the Hulk promised the Ancient One he would return the Stone to the time line. That promise still hasn't been kept because Thano's destroyed all the Stones.

Dr. Strange and Hulk VS Hell on Earth. Strange needs someone who can fight big Monsters :)
DoubleD
DoubleD - 5/13/2019, 5:24 AM
@LordCipher - AND Thano's destroyed all the Infinty Stones with the second SNAP so that Stone still hasn't been replaced in real time.

Dr. Strange gave the Stone to Thano's and after he SNAPPED he destroed them all.

Hulk promise not kept yet.
Kumkani

@DoubleD - ...Cap returned the stones after Tony used them to wipe out Thanos and his forces.

I get it you want to see more Hulk but come on now.
DoubleD
DoubleD - 5/13/2019, 5:33 AM
@LordCipher - Dr. Strange willingly gave Thano's the Stone and Thano's destroyed it with second SNAP.

Hulks promise isn't kept until that Stone is in place to stop all the demons taking over the Universe.
DoubleD
DoubleD - 5/13/2019, 5:36 AM
@DnA - Cap returned the Stones Stones from the past. BUT that very Stone was destroyed by Thanos with second SNAP so the door to HELL is wide open.
Brave
Brave - 5/13/2019, 5:40 AM
@DoubleD - the stone that Bruce promised to return was returned by Steve. The stones that Thanos destroyed don't matter anymore. But what are you implying beyond that? I'm curious
DoubleD
DoubleD - 5/13/2019, 5:45 AM
@Brave - Did Thano's destroy all the Infinity Stones with second SNAP ? YES, Past Stone was returned but the current Stone is destroyed by Thanos.

Which means Hulk hasn't kept his promise to the Acient One. Setting up for Dr. Strange 2
DoubleD
DoubleD - 5/13/2019, 6:18 AM
@LordCipher - Tell me where all the Infinity Stones are right now ?

Does Dr. Strange have his Stone back yet ? No Thanos destroyed it with Second SNAP
MexCowboyNation
MexCowboyNation - 5/13/2019, 6:22 AM
@DoubleD - I hope not. I would skip the movie if Hulk is in it.
