What's weird is that they haven't done any marketing yet. Could be because Disney is busy promoting Toy Story & The Lion King, but they have to let general audiences know this is happening and it's happening this weekend.
Anyway, whatever it takes.

@WakandanQueen - Yeah, it's pretty weird they're releasing a re-edit of their biggest movie ever without much promotion

@tmp3 - I mean, it is their biggest movie ever, but I'd expect a new trailer and a few TV spots.

Speaking of box-office, just realized that two of the four highest grossing movies next summer will probably be original films

@tmp3 - Soul and Tenet?

@WakandanQueen - Yeah, with the other two of the four being Black Widow & Wonder Woman 1984. Feel like Fast without Dwayne is gonna see a fall.

Although it would be very cool, it still is quite remarkable what they already hauled in over the last few months (passing Avatars original BO in the process)

Even if they make it, it's a personal letdown they weren't able to hit that next big millstone of 3 billion dollars. If it were closing in on that then I could totally understand the desire for a final push, but just to maybe move a hair past Avatar doesn't seem like a worthy enough goal.

@Oberlin4Prez - What else could possibly be the highest grossing of all time though? It'll have that for a whiiillee unless we're hit with the next big pop culture phenomenon

Help me out here. Avatar was in theaters for 34 weeks, black panther 25. Endgame has only been in theaters roughly 8 weeks so far. Why don't they just ride the clock out for a bit?
WakandanQueen
WakandanQueen - 6/25/2019, 3:28 AM
@Jackwagon - Endgame doesn't have anywhere near the kind of legs Avatar and Black Panther had.
