While Marvel Studios is being careful to show us as little as possible from Avengers: Endgame, work on the movie is clearly almost complete as the Russo Brothers have now confirmed that composer Alan Silvestri has finished scoring it.

As you may recall, he's responsible for the Back to the Future score that became synonymous with the trilogy and later made the jump to the Marvel Cinematic Universe when he signed up to work on Captain America: The First Avenger and The Avengers. He was then brought back into the fold for Avengers: Infinity War ,and we have him to thank for Thor's epic arrival in Wakanda.

Here's the photo shared by the filmmakers on their Twitter account last night:

Two more Avengers: Endgame TV spots have also been released, and while they feature zero new footage, they're bound to still give you chills as Earth's Mightiest Heroes vow to do "Whatever It Takes" to save the world and undo the damage wrought by Thanos when he unleashed the power of the Infinity Gauntlet. With any luck, at least some fresh shots will arrive soon.

His Avengers theme is iconic at this point and I’m so glad he was brought back in infinity war! Tyler and Elfman did okay on Age if Ultron but Silvestris score was missing...

@Bokis - The AoU score was crap in my opinion. So bloody generic

@DnA -

Danny try some variations

While Silvestri didn't change one note of the theme in IW

He need to step up in EG

@Rastarapha - The OG theme is iconic enough as it is. I'm glad he didn't change one note of the them in IW. That's a good thing.

@Murdock857859 -

For me this is lazy work

@Rastarapha - Dude, it's not lazy. How the [frick] is reusing an iconic theme lazy? In that case, is John Williams lazy for using the Star Wars opening fanfare in every Star Wars film? or are composers of every James Bond film lazy just because they use the iconic James Bond theme in every Bond film. I'm sorry, but that's just dumb.
Plus, every other track in the IW OST is completely different to whatever Silvestri did in his previous Avengers work.

@Rastarapha - That's literally the only track that's even remotely memorable from Age of Ultron.

@Murdock857859 - the mcu general music is already bland, giving some variations on the rare iconics themes is a way to evolve the score and the universe...

But we talking about IW... everything is perfect in this movie for all of you ..

@Rastarapha - Yeeeeah, we're talking about a franchise that JUST won an academy award for best original score. And most of the scores that have release for MCU movies post 2015 have all been great.

And IW isn't perfect, no movie is. But it's damn close to being. I don't know why you feel so strongly about it but you do you, I guess.

Silvestri's work on Infinity War was so good. It isn't as catchy as the first Avengers score or the BP one, but there are times when you do hear it in the film and it just elevates each scene. Masterful work.

Silvestri is solid and gets the job done. He is not desplat or morricone or williams but he is good composer.

His avengers theme is legendary though. Top 5 most iconic cbm themes of all time.

I'm starting to wonder if the footage of Hawkeye apparently running thru the bowels of something getting away from an explosion and/or the bit of Ant Man dodging flaming office items, if maybe this indicates the Avengers will actually think it necessary at some point to sort of self-detonate the entire upstate NY Avengers facility.

Whether by that they lured someone there, or a nefarious creature showed up and there was no other way to beat them in that moment, well then steal a little bit from the third act of Star Trek III.

Hearing the ominous motif build in the background during Captain Marvel's mid-credits scene made me appreciate how beautifully Silverstri was able to build a distinct tone for Infinity War. I can't wait to hear what he comes up with for Endgame.
