Of everything that happened in Endgame, I feel like Steve's fate is the only thing they might walk back on. It was sort of inconsistent with "I'm with you 'til the end of the line" thing — even Sebastian Stan agrees — and they legitimately invented the fountain of youth earlier in the movie. They definitely left the door open for Chris Evans to return more so than anyone else.

@Nebula - Steve earned the right to be SELFISH more than anyone.

"It's not a hard no, but it's not an eager yes either."

"If you're going to revisit it, it can't be a cash grab. It can't be just because the audience wants to be excited. What are we revealing? What are we adding to the story? A lot of things would have to come together."

-Evans on returning to Cap down the line.

I like Cap’s ending (at least the idea of it) but part of it does feel out-of-character for him to do.

@Nebula - I also think he'll be back. Even if only for Secret Wars type scenario, incorporating the X-Men and Magneto, Which I believe is Feige's long long game.

Such a genuinely earnest and moving scene.

It should have been written so that Steve traveling to the past was a one-way ticket. Make it so that they are down to the last Pym Particle and that Banner wouldn't be able to bring Steve back, but that was a sacrifice Steve was willing to make for the greater good. That would have made his mission heroic as opposed to abandoning the present on a whim for his own selfish desires.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Problem with that is that Hank Pym was back, so they wouldn't have had any problem acquiring more particles if need be.

@EskimoJ - Ah yes, true. Idk, I think they still could have found a way to make that the only alternative.

Loved this scene, it meant the end of Steve’s story, the end of everything he had fought for, the 75 years of his life he lost he regained and once his fight was over, to see Peggy again and giver the dance that he promised. I know a lot of people take issue with this ending but I can’t imagine any other ending to his story.

I think this was a perfect ending, from Cap's point of view, they succeeded, they faced "the endgame, right there", the good guys won, it was time to settle down, but knowing Cap can't die, he passes the mantle, so the symbol lives forever. It's a meta commentary for the MCU, more movies will come, but for some folks, it was the end. IMO, it was perfect.

My only input here is that I still can't believe Infinity War and Endgame are two movies that exist, are as crazy as they are, and managed to be so completely different from one another

Nice art piece, it would also make for a cool cover for your computer's desk etc.
