Interesting that Groot was an adult again in the concept art.

Also, this visual is freaking hilarious ;-P

@Tensorpants - I’m playing through it right now, and I’m really wondering how its gonna tackle Ragnarok compared to the MCU (probably much closer to “real” events)

This would’ve been as Thor as it gets. Like it a lot more than the Etiri stuff but that works just fine and fits in the movie well. This would’ve been A LOT for IW.

Thor 4 should open with this. Too good to be scrapped forever. Cold open: Thor goes to Jörmungard to retrieve GUNGNIR, the powerful magical spear used by the rulers of Asgard and serves as a symbol of Asgardian power, for Valkyrie now ruler of New Asgard. The last one was destroyed during Ragnarok.

@MUTO123 - I really feel for the guy. I know everyone loves to hold director's last failures over their heads, but I feel he could've gotten it to work. I read he and Mark Hamill were fundamentally on the same page about Luke. I can only assume that once Rian killed Luke, Colin's plans went out the window. I don't know for sure, but this is my theory.

@SmokingMan - The only one I (kinda) feel for is Lucas. This has to be like watching someone else abuse your children.
Rosraf
Rosraf - 11/23/2019, 7:53 AM
@SmokingMan - I just can’t believe they didn’t simply map out the full three movie storyline ahead of time. They’re either lying to distance everyone else from the stench of Last Jedi, or they were incredibly careless and stupid to head into a multi-billion dollar trilogy with no real plan.
Dredd97
Dredd97 - 11/23/2019, 9:32 PM
@Rosraf - They had no real plan. Lucas had story treatments, and Bob Iger said "[frick] you," and threw them out. So they scrambled to make 7, it was popular, and then they drove head first into 8 with Johnson's weird fan-fic, and had to clean it all up by 9. It's the worst way to run a billion dollar franchise.

Why this sequence look like Thor walked in on some shit he wasn't supposed to see?

I hope Thor 4 is gonna be the next place where the world serpent might show up. Always wanted to see the MCU get closer to the actual norse mythology than the comics
