Considering the secrecy surrounding Avengers: Infinity War, it's always surprising when the Russo brothers are able to share an update from the sets of their two highly anticipated Avengers movies, which are shooting back to back.

Aside from an official video marking the start of production on Avengers: Infinity War, fans have largely been kept in the dark about Marvel Studios biggest film to date. Probably for good reason as to avoid any major spoilers.

But that hasn't fully stopped directors Anthony and Joe Russo who somehow managed to slip another teaser image onto social media. The details are pretty hard to make out as the image has been washed out in brightness, but you can see some sort of destructive nature has run its course — perhaps caused by Thanos?

The directors are known for posting very vague teaser images to social media, which in the case of Captain America Civil War actually wound up being major plot points in the film. Without context, however, it was tough to really establish what was going on in them. The same could presumably be said of this latest image for Avengers: Infinity War — it's probably an important scene but we won't know until the eagerly-awaited film premieres.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters May 4, 2018.
