@Fritzthecat - I'm confused. Why isn't Captain America called Thor in that picture, where he's holding Mjolnir? Isn't that how it's supposed to work? Strange. Very, very strange.

@KingCipher - The only way to make Tribunal work in the Infinity Saga would have been to have him show up AFTER Thanos did the Snap.

The Living Tribunal is only one of two characters more powerful than the Infinity Gauntlet. He is unaffected by it and is able to undo anything it does. So having him judge Thanos guilty BEFORE Thanos even gets the full Gauntlet wouldn't have made any sense because Thanos would have been defeated and that would have been the end of the story.

It ONLY makes sense if Tribunal shows up AFTER the Snap and judges that Thanos did not break any cosmic laws in his quest to gain the Gauntlet and then leaves him be. This is how it was in the comics and it makes sense. Tribunal judging Thanos guilty is a quick, deus machina ending that would have sucked. Either that, or he judges Thanos guilty and then Thanos defeats Tribunal, which would have been just ridiculousm

@Ryguy88 - Agree 100%. As soon as we knew this movie would have time travel I felt mind of deflated about the whole thing.

@Ryguy88 - I could understand having that sort of reaction initially, but all things considered, it was at least handled in a what's probably a bit more uncommon way. As shown by the dialog some of them literally having with each other, the BTTF, Terminator, etc framework for time travel does tend to be the default approach in genre stories of the last few decades. And they did at least try to approach the mechanics of what they were doing and how they were using it with a scientificly inclined attitude. Though obviously neither are possible (at least far as we currently know) the multiverse/alt timeline version of time travel makes a lot more sense to me than the classic "change your past to change your present". It feels more logical that the universe would simply be able to add onto itself as opposed to having what fundamentally already exists change entirely. There were likely still some plot holes that arose, it's incredibly rare in fiction to have time travel central to your narrative and have it be totally clean logic-wise as a whole, but I really don't think anything too major, like bigger things that are forgiven in other past movies. And as we had confirmed last week, the single biggest one was done very much by design, the 2012 Loki version that's now seemingly irrevocably changed.

@CorndogBurglar - Well, not living and resources per se. In the books Tribunal safeguards the multiverse from imbalances with mystical forces. Mostly keeping one universe from becoming too powerful versus others (which is why he was killed at the start of that last Secret Wars event)

'm just saying, Tribunal is about balance, MCU Thanos is about balance. Might not be the best argument, but it can be made.
