AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Star Elizabeth Olsen Would Want A Scarlet Witch Solo Movie To Adapt 'House Of M'

One of the stars of the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, Elizabeth Olsen recently admitted that if a Scarlet Witch film were to happen, she'd love for it to adapt one of Marvel's most famous storylines...

It seems that even Marvel's movie stars of the have joined fans in wanting the X-Men characters to show up in its thriving cinematic universe.

Elizabeth Olsen recently revealed her hopes for a standalone Scarlet Witch film, to Metro, and they essentially rely on Disney acquring 20th Century Fox. Olsen admitted that she would ‘love’ to lead her own solo movie – though it would still see Paul Bettany playing a key role as Vision.

Clearly having read-up on Wanda Maximoff’s comic history, Olsen told Metro that she wants to see a Scarlet Witch movie adapt one of Marvel’s most famous story arcs.

I would love to [do a standalone], and I would love it to be House Of M, which is a comic book series of The Vision and Scarlet Witch having a make-believe family.

She believes she has twin children – she alters her own reality to believe that, but really she has a miscarriage and Vision goes along with it. Then they have to tell her that she was make-believing the entire time, and she has a very traumatic experience and screams, and kills all the mutants – but that’s an X-Men story so we’d have to adjust the ending.

You can see the actress comment more on a Scarlet Witch solo film in the video below:

She later elaborated further on her hopes for a solo movie in an interview with The Daily Star.

That is what I want to be the solo story. That's why I wanted to play Scarlet Witch, it's my favourite story, with the fake babies and finding out she made it all up and she's playing house, it's heartbreaking. It's incredible.

The Daily Star also attempted to pry some information out of Olsen on where her character fits into the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War film, of which she was promoting. Unfortunately, it appears that she was one of the many actor's on-board with the movie who were only provided portions of the full script.

I don't know. I know where I fit in my own storyline, but I didn't get the full script, no-one did. I heard a bit of what other people are doing, but I think I can answer that question better after seeing the movie.

What do you think about Olsen's hopes that, if a Scarlet Witch film were to happen one day, House of M will be adapted? Or would you prefer a solo film do go down a different route?
