Cull Obsidian Battles The Hulkbuster In This Awesome Look At A New AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Statue

We haven't seen a great deal of Cull Obsidian in Avengers: Infinity War but we know he'll be a brute and this awesome statue offers a detailed look at the villain and his battle with The Hulkbuster...

Avengers: Infinity War is just two weeks away and if you're not excited...well, there may be something wrong with you! After all, there's an awful lot to get psyched about in the Marvel Studios movie with the big screen debut of Thanos' Black Order somewhere near the top of the list. Proxima Midnight, Cull Obsidian, Ebony Maw, and Corvus Glaive are all extremely powerful and the "children" of Thanos.

Today, we're focusing on the mysterious Cull Obsidian because a new Iron Studios statue has been revealed offering our best look yet at the character. We still don't know who will voice him in Avengers: Infinity War but he's clearly a badass and powerful enough to go toe to toe with the new Hulkbuster.

There are also detailed shots of Cull's costume and the weapons he'll wield in the Marvel movie when he invades Wakanda alongside Thanos and his army of Outriders on April 27th.

Known as Black Dwarf in the comic books, the character has been renamed Cull Obsidian here and the reason for that has yet to be revealed. It could be copyright issues or maybe Marvel just hated it!

Either way, the villain looks like a force to be reckoned with and this statue shows just how intricate his costume is. Does that sash have any sort of special meaning to the villain? It's hard to say for sure.

What is clear is that Cull will wield a fierce weapon which is clearly made either from some sort of indestructible material or possibly enhanced by energy somehow - it looks a bit like the Tesseract!

If those LEGO sets are to be believed, Cull will join Ebony Maw when he attacks the Sanctum Sanctorum but he clearly emerges from that battle unscathed in order to help invade Wakanda.

His comic book counterpart did exactly the same thing but was ultimately defeated by Black Panther. That would be very cool to see on the big screen, especially given the size difference between them!

The level of detail on this statue is incredible; there's even mud on the villain's boots! However, we're guessing you want us to get to that fight between Cull Obsidian and the Hulkbuster armour, right?

It's been confirmed that Bruce Banner will be in the armour in Avengers: Infinity War because he's having some trouble transforming into The Hulk but we do know that he'll eventually change!

Here it is, the battle of the century (well, maybe). These two coming to blows will be great fun to see on screen and while Cull is probably going to beat the hero, he may have some issues with The Hulk.

It looks like Black Panther and Okoye will also be getting in on the action and it's interesting that none of the Black Order is particularly uniform in appearance. Where did Thanos find this guy?

Dieclaimer: I didn't read the article yet including Josh speculation.

I think his weapon will serve a similar function to the shocker 's gauntlets in homecoming. In that it exhibits a reverse magnetized effect to whatever he punches, albeit exponentially stronger. It would explain how the hell he can throw a bus at iron man. Not that cull isn't strong enough to lift a bus, but to throw it with the force of 1.5 Hulks seems unlikely unless he punched it at him the way shocker 2 did to spidey.

Having a powerful punch can be an equalizer when fighting hulk or hulk buster. Like how crossbones used those gauntlets that gave him a punch to knock captain off his feet.

This is all speculation of course.

@Poochie - they don't show cull throwing it. I'm just piecing things together. But in one of the trailers, a city or school bus is tossed through the air at iron man in NYC. Since there's speculation that cull is in that NYC scene from Lego sets, it seems likely he's the one to throw it
