Scarlett Johansson Reveals Why Exactly Black Widow Has Blonde Hair In AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR
Many members of Earth's Mightiest Heroes have undergone costume changes since the events of Captain America: Civil War but what's the deal with Black Widow's blonde hairdo? Scarlett Johansson reveals all.
When the events of Avengers: Infinity War kick off, two years will have passed since Earth's Mightiest Heroes were torn asunder by the Sokovia Accords. As a result, many of the characters will have undergone some big changes, especially those who have been forced to go on the run as fugitives.
In the case of Black Widow, she's altered her look in a big way by dyeing her signature red hair blonde. That's a major departure from the comic books so what exactly is the significance of that change?
"Joe and Anthony really wanted us to kind of feel like it had just been a period of time, and we were both sort of kind of under the radar, just different, [and] I think that red hair is a signature of Natasha," Scarlett Johansson explains, referring to Widow being on the run with Captain America since the superhero Civil War. "They just wanted us to look different, and so for me, I thought, alright, well maybe I’ll give it a little wink and nod to the other Widows’ story that has been burned out."
With Thanos attacking Wakanda in the movie, Black Widow won't have much time to return to her signature look but it's easy to imagine it returning by the time Avengers 4 rolls around. What do you guys think about Natasha's new 'do? As always, share your thoughts in the comments section below.
