The Next Trailer For AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Might Be Coming Sooner Than We Thought The Next Trailer For AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Might Be Coming Sooner Than We Thought

We may have gotten a Super Bowl TV spot for Avengers: Infinity War but all eyes are now on the next trailer, and some evidence has mounted which may point to it being with us in the very near future...

The first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War was released during Good Morning America when Sebastian Stan appeared on the show and the fact that he, Paul Bettany, and Karen Gillan are all set to appear on the February 27th edition of GMA has led to speculation that the second sneak peek is on the way!

Nothing has been confirmed yet and there's nothing to say that this trio will bring the trailer with them but it makes perfect sense and the time is definitely right for this to be released as May 4th gets closer.

With Black Panther in theaters and breaking records, Marvel putting the spotlight on Avengers: Infinity War from March onwards adds up, especially when it's going to have so much competition in May thanks to the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story and Deadpool 2. If we are getting a new trailer on the 27th, what would you like to see in it? Feel free to let us know your thoughts in the usual place.

@nux - Infinity War is a HUGE advertisement for Black Panther. That's the good thing about it.

@nux - They dropped the first IW trailer a few weeks after Ragnarok. The second trailer is dropping at exactly the right time

@Fanmar16 - What are you talking about!?

The film releases 27th April here in the UK. That's exactly 2 months before release if they drop the trailer in 6 days.

Is 2 months before release too early for a 2nd trailer of an AVENGERS film for you?

Really don't understand the logic of some people on this site sometimes...

I would say I wouldn’t watch the trailer, but the internet is just gonna tell everything that happens in it regardless.

Just finished rewatching Thor: The Dark World... The best way to describe this movie is inconsistent.

The opening sequence with Odin's monologue is great. The action in that scene feels powerful and badass, exactly how I expect Asgardian warriors to fight. Almost every other action sequence save for the ship battles in Asgard, are just bland and very uninteresting.

The scenes on Asgard are all pretty good (though for some reason, the acting from all the Asgardians feels like a bit of a stepdown from the Thor), as while I sort of preferred the very space/cosmic empire look of Asgard in Thor, the CGI is a lot more crisp and is infinitely better in this film. However the Earth scenes are such a bore to get through. I was tempted to skip them. The science is boring, and Erik Selvig's presence is annoying to be frank. Natalie Portman's Jane is terribly bland in this too, and it shows in her scenes with Chris Hemsworth.

Malekieth doesn't look terrible, and doesn't feel like an idiot, but he has some of the most generic lines in the entire MCU, if not the most. None of his words reveal anything special about his personality, and he doesn't come across as a capable fighter either. I liked the look of the Dark Elves with their creepy masks and ninja feet, but Malekieth should have looked a bit more interesting. The Dark Elves themselves have no personality and are probably the worst fodder so far down the line in the MCU. I also didn't really like the aesthetics of their ships. Felt too much like something out of Man of Steel.

Kurse annoyed me as well, because he felt less like a character and more like an overpowered plot device. He just takes out everything in one hit, which makes things boring. His fight with Thor is especially nonsensical too. I'm just supposed to believe that this particular Kursed can withstand blows from Mjölnir, easily swat it aside and can pretty much easily solo Thor, and can withstand being stabbed in the heart, when the previous Kursed was taken out but four Asgardian soldiers. Nothing was hinted at that this Kursed was somehow stronger than the previous.

Visually though, this movie is stunning. All of the shots of Asgard are perfect, and I can't remember a bad CGI moment. Frigga's funeral was so well done (and I'm glad the musical cue was used in Ragnarok). Speaking of the score, it's very inconsistent too. The new theme isn't bad, but sounds too familiar and doesn't instill that same sense of hope Patrick's Doyle's theme does. Most other times I can't remember the score, but it's good during Frigga's funeral.

All in all, very painfully average film. 5 or 6 out of 10

@BlindWedjat - Kurse being OP was a nod to the comics. He doubles Thor's strenght thanks to the Beyonder. Thor then uses his belt to double his strenght, at which point The Beyonder doubles it again for Kurse(in the comics).

@Roodi - I know, but there's no reason for this Kurse to be that strong. There's nothing that shows he's different from the other Kursed except that the plot needs him to be.
