Tom Holland And Robert Downey Jr. Weigh In On How Iron Man And Spider-Man Might React To Wakanda

We still don't know if Iron Man and Spider-Man will be present during Avengers: Infinity War's final battle in Wakanda but both Tom Holland and Robert Downey Jr. have weighed in on what they'd make if it.

At the end of Black Panther, T'Challa finally decided to open Wakanda's doors to the rest of the world and that's obviously going to be a game changer for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It has, of course, already been confirmed that the final act of Avengers: Infinity War will take place in the fictional African nation but how might heroes like Iron Man and Spider-Man react to such a place?

Well, while we have no idea whether or not either hero will ultimately arrive in Wakanda to protect The Vision from Thanos' Outriders, both Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Holland seem interested.

"Well, a technologically advanced country is probably something that he wishes would benefit humanity without creating more infighting," Downey Jr. says. "I think that’s what he would hope for America. That’s what he would hope for the world. I think to him, he would view it as a potentially utopian model." Whether or not Iron Man will survive long enough to make that happen isn't clear.

As for how Peter Parker could react, Holland will no doubt make a lot of fans happy by pointing out how great it will be seeing Spider-Man side by side with Shuri. "I think Peter would love it.
There’s some great moments in the comics where Peter ends up there. And Letitia and I have become really good friends over the last year and a bit. It would be brilliant to have our characters meet up, it would be so funny. She’s brilliant in the movie, she’s actually my favorite part of Black Panther."

Regardless of how things play out in Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige promises that Wakanda will be a big part of Phase 4 serving as an "anchor point" of sorts for future stories. "That’s the grand Marvel Studios/MCU tradition of just being all in, right?" he teases.
