The Playlist, there seems to be no truth to the rumor of Demi Lovato joining, or being considered for a role in Marvel Studios' "grand Jewel"
The Avengers. Contacting her reps, they say:
"According to reps for the Disney star, when asked about the rumors about the project they’ve told us there’s nothing to them. Considering Lovato went into rehab last month, something about this supposed casting never made much sense."
Despite this debunk, I hear tell that Lovato did in fact try out for a main role for the star-studded ensemble. However being admitted to rehab early in November, her chances are now slim to none. And who the actress tried out for is unknown.
Anyhow, Joss Whedon is assembling
The Avengers for an April start-date, slamming theaters May 4, 2012 in 3D.
