It's hard to believe that The Avengers was released all the way back in 2012 and the Marvel Cinematic Universe has obviously changed massively since then. Whereas the sight of six heroes assembling was once epic, we saw literally dozens of them in Avengers: Endgame but that makes the Joss Whedon helmed release no less special or memorable.

Now, we've rounded up a gallery of officially released concept art for you guys which you'll definitely want to check out. Kicking off with the original version of Thanos, we then move to the "Battle of New York," Earth's Mightiest Heroes vs. Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and a number of other pivotal scenes.

There are also alternate costume designs for S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and many key characters, including Captain America, Loki, Nick Fury, Thor, and many, many more.

Some of this artwork has previously been seen in low-res but a lot of it hasn't been featured on CBM before and it all provides a fascinating look at how these talented artists set the stage for what was, at the time, the most epic superhero movie to date! in the artwork caps suit is looking far better than the walmart one we got in the first avengers movie. in endgame made fun of it lol

I was watching some kind of random Marvel video on youtube a day or two ago when it kinda sank in more fully how magnificently convieniently it was that after being missing and asleep for SEVENTY YEARS, Steve Rogers happens to only get found and thawed out roughly 3-4 weeks before Earth experiences its first full on alien invasion lol
