Tom Hiddleston Describes Scene Filmed At NASA Facility In THE AVENGERS

The British actor discusses the 'Group Hug' codename for The Avengers and briefly reveals a few details on the scenes he shared with Samuel L. Jackson and Jeremy Renner at the NASA rocket testing facility.

Talking to Elle Magazine, Tom Hiddleston has touched briefly upon how the 'Group Hug' codename used during filming for The Avengers was far more relevant to the project than you might think. "All of the actors in 'The Avengers' are so nice. Marvel has these code names for projects and the code name for 'The Avengers' was Group Hug. It felt very much like a group hug on set." With so many well know actors all sharing the screen, were there any clash of egos? Well, as hard as it may be to believe, most definitely not according to the actor: "For the first 10 minutes after you meet them, they have the wattage and charisma of movie stars. Then you have a coffee with them and you realize we're all the same, we're all just people."

Asked what his favourite part of working on the Joss Whedon helmed superhero ensemble was, Hiddleston was careful not to give away any specific details, but did tease a scene Loki shares with Nick Fury and Hawkeye at the NASA facility in Cleveland where filming was kept extremely secretive at the time. "My favorite moment on set was filming at a NASA location the size of a cathedral," he revealed. "I flew around like a trapeze artist in a rocket-testing facility in the company of Samuel L. Jackson and Jeremy Renner. That was a pretty good day at work."
