@GAThrawnIGF - She's obscure compared to Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, and Green Lantern, all of whom are more deserving of a solo movie before Batgirl, (IMO).
Batgirl's definitely more well known than Cyborg, I agree, but I don't really think of him as a JL member because I'm old school and think of him as a Titan.

It's less tentatively knowing and more they actually announced plans for movies on set years and a majority will not make those release dates.

Alternatively in the case of about 15+ movies, they have announced them without any hint towards a timeline of release essentially making the announcement meaningless and making it seem like they do not actually have a structure or goal (which is actually accurate given they have not got an over-arcing plan for their Extended Universe) other than Justice League.

To me Justice League Dark coming so soon after Justice League would hint at a potential idea of a crossover or rivalry between the two teams in a potential Justice League sequel. After all, if they plan on making Justice League a trilogy they can't really use Darkseid in the second movie.

As for Batgirl, to me it hints that they would rather start establishing a younger newer hero and that they may plan on killing off Batman at some stage - especially given he was introduced as an older tired Batman. At this stage i'm think the solo Batman movie could easily turn into a 'Logan-inspired' telling of the Red Hood storyline with an old Batman trying desperately to prevent Red Hood from causing chaos, discovering he's actually the former Robin he thought was killed by Joker, and having his morals questioned one last time before he dies. Maybe have the former Robin take up the mantle of Batman afterwards.

I hope they use the idea also;
- The Red Hood would mirrors Batman's character development in the DCEU. Both start a hero, both deeply hurt by the Joker, both lose their way, one makes it back to being heroic thanks to being reminded by Superman while the other is warped and twisted by the Joker.
- Tests and shows Batman's commitment to his newly developed 'One Rule'
- Can be used to establish Batman as a more heroic character via flashbacks and show Joker as a more intimidating threat via his attack on the former Robin
- Could take elements from 'Knightfall' such as the idea of Red Hood unleashing the villains and forcing Batman to take them down, trying to see if he resorts to the easy route of killing them, then attacking him when he's exhausted from crime fighting
- Using the potential death of Batman as a way to motivate a new Batman. Having the title of the movie, Batman, not as a universal character; not a man, but a symbol.
