No New BATMAN: ARKHAM Games In Development According To Recent Statements From Kevin Conroy
In a recent statement, fan-favorite Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy says there are currently no new Batman: Arkham games in development. So what about those Damian Wayne rumors from awhile back?
Is there a new Batman: Arkham game in development? While RockSteady Games has moved on to a new project, job postings and leaks have revealed that WB Games (who made the prequel Batman: Arkham Origins) is currently working on a new video game starring the Caped Crusader. The two most prevalent rumors center on a video game set in a future where Damian Wayne has succeeded Bruce Wayne as Gotham's Dark Knight while the other speculates that the next Arkham installment will pick-up immediately after Arkham Knight.
Well, according to Kevin Conroy, who voices Batman in the game, there's currently nothing in development at all.
Speaking to the crowd at Wizard World Nashville, the Batman: The Animated Series voice actor stated, "I can’t believe that they’re not going to do another one, but they’re not. Isn’t that amazing? They made literally billions of dollars on those games, but no, there’s no plan to do another one. Sorry."
Of course, with WB Games pressing on without RockSteady, it's important to note that Conroy was replaced by Roger Craig Smith in Arkham Origins so it's entirely possible that Conroy's simply not involved with whatever the WB's in-house game studio is working on.
