Turns out Scorsese was just a DC fanboy all along

Jared Leto was left "alienated and upset by the move."

Lmao that's okay. This movie blew Jared Leto's """Joker""" out of the water along with every DCEU movie released so far. (I haven't seen Shazam, Billy is exempt.)

If Scorsese directed this then that probably would have pushed The Irishman even further away, and tbh if I had to chose between this or that I'd choose the latter. I do think it's incredibly funny that this "alienated and upset" Jared Leto, especially since Morbius won't make 1/3 as much money as this (and the Joaq will probably get an Oscar nomination while Leto got a Razzie nomination for his turn as the Joker)

@tmp3 - regardless of quality, I'm not sure we can say that for sure. Venom made all kinds of money and everyone thought it'd bomb

@MyCoolYoung - Joker's making a killing internationally, and its projected to have a really small drop this weekend, so it's gonna do monster money. Can't see Morbius doing that well at all

"the original plan may have been for the movie to have been set in the DC Extended Universe. However, Toby Emmerich didn't believe that needed to be the case, hence why Jared Leto was left "alienated and upset by the move."

this movie is worth having just for that. I may even have to bump it from an 8 to a 9 :p

If they ever decided to have Batman show up in some sequel- if they did it-- well, they can't. At least, he won't "be" Batman" just like Fleck isn't really Joker.

For Batman to work his parents, more so his father, has to be an altruistic humanitarian. Bruce losing a father who was such a beacon of hope for Gotham and an inspiration to him is a driving force in him becoming Batman. Thomas in this film is an asshole through and through. There's nothing compassionate to mourn losing.

Also, man am i sick of seeing the Wayne's die. It could've been subtle. Just show them walking in the alley and one of the clowns following them. That's enough. Audience isn't that stupid.
