Rumors Of Kit Harington Taking Over As BATMAN May Have Been A Tad Premature Rumors Of Kit Harington Taking Over As BATMAN May Have Been A Tad Premature

Earlier this week, we heard that Warner Bros. had been working on some mockups of Kit Harington in the Batsuit but a new source claims that the actor knows nothing about taking over as the new Batman...

It's becoming increasingly clear that Ben Affleck will not be returning for The Batman or any other movies starring the Caped Crusader and the hunt is now no doubt already on to find a new Bruce Wayne. Who that will be remains to be seen but earlier this week, a rumour started doing the rounds that Warner Bros. has put together mockups of Game of Thrones' Kit Harington as the Dark Knight.

As a result, he was quickly named a
fan-favourite choice to play the iconic DC Comics character but Entertainment Weekly Editor James Hibberd has now revealed that Harington's people know absolutely nothing about him suiting up as Matt Reeves' Batman. This obviously doesn't necessarily mean the studio isn't interested in him but it may essentially confirm that he isn't in talks right now.

Do you think the Game of Thrones star would make a good Batman or is he a little too short at 5'8"?

They need to make him wolverine instead. Give him Weapon X and make him the real future of the MCU. Wolverine could literally floor people done properly, NOT like the shitty Xmen movies.

Just imagine wolverine VS in live action mixed with the OG animated series.

I would dig to see rogue take out captain marvel to get her powers, which would be so satisfying.

But my point is, The xmen, could define marvel again like in the 90s.

Id like to see them recreate mutant history from the 80s and 90s xmen in live action.
The comics timeline already takes place in this time anyways.. People don't realize how time passes in comics, its a lot slower, the current comics take place about 10 to 15 years after the original publications. So we are pass due for the xmen.

If done right mcu history could mirror actual marvel comics, Its close, just the movies all kind of suck. IMO, they just havent lived up to their full potential.

Blade and spiderman 1 and 2 along with IW are still the best marvel films.

Id like to see that level of film making go into the mcu, instead of it being filled with simplistic BS watered down versions of the characters, and stupid plots. Along with regular people with cgi powers. That shit needs to change, IW was close to the best because it was saturated in marvel lore in the look and feel, and it impressed EVERYONE even if it was flawed.

Thanos's reason in the comics is better because it explains why he wouldnt just create more resources with the gauntlet, if he worshipped death, he wouldnt care about that dumb shit.

But it has to has some bs social commentary that makes it fail to be art, and becomes government propaganda.

Like I said, its my opinion, it is watered down, zemo without any kind of mask or relation to his actual origin, zola being a computer instead of a robot which could of worked, iron fist not getting to his costume in the same amount of time as daredevil. typhoid mary not painting her face, which all could work within a more sophisticated narrative.

I fear only the avengers will be taken seriously, and that to me isnt the way to do it, when saturated mythology can work just as well, as long as you use it.

Let's have Idris Elba as Batman and Michael B Jordan as Superman. DC would really be breaking barriers there.

He's too short for Bruce. On the other hand though, I'm still not over Cavill being shorter [than Bruce] in BvS/JL. It just looked so wrong, visually.

And it just so happened to be one of Synder's unique decisions as well, with him specifically casting a taller actor than Cavill. I don't agree with those who said it was cool and made sense for Bruce to be the physically bigger man while Clark has all that power.

@Kurne - Snyder justifies the amount of cream in his coffee with religious symbolism and convoluted cyphers only he and the Snyderati fully understand due to his coded communiques on Vero

Man, things were so nice and quiet for a while now. No "will he, won't he" nonsense with Affleck, no directors leaving projects, just a couple fun trailers with Aquaman and SHAZAM, and somehow a Joker movie that I personally couldn't care less about initially, kicking off and actually sounding kinda good, and Wonder Woman 84 smoothly. Things were so good. This past few days have been the DCEU of old. Stupid rumour after stupid rumour.

Without sounding like a dick about it, Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke are probably two of the "lesser talented" actors in their respective series. Though that's probably easy when Peter Dinklage and Lena Headey do what they do.
Cant wrap my head around a Kit Batman

@LittleSween - Clarke with good material works for me. But she was real young when she started that show. She seems to have gotten a bit stuck in the role.

But yeah, there's not much hope of anyone comparing to Headey.
