I noticed during the "Bane, born and raised in hell" TDKR TV-Spot that Alfred is standing in the new Batcave. What do you think?

One would think the cave wouldn't be very tricked out as he quit being Batman not long after he was rebuilding it. Probably wouldn't have put a lot of time and effort into something he wasn't planning on using any more?

The Batcave is another character and it has been poorly utilised thus far. Im notsad the nolan era is over im more anticipating the next incarnation of batman where he perhaps uses batarangs, think of that. Hoping for a big computer similar to the one fox was watching in tdk, training area, little section with both his suits, medical area where alfred patches him up. COME ON!!! its the bat cave.

Sir Alfred? When did alfred gain knighthood

Love Nolan's interpretation of everything Batman so far. and everything I've seen about TDKR looks like its no different. His track record should give naysayers a glimpse of hope that he will NOT screw this film up. He's that good.

OK, even though he's played by Sir Michael Caine, it doesn't mean Alfred gained an automatic knighthood by default.

I really can't imagine the Queen announcing "I knight you Sir Alfred Pennyworth, for contributions to the butler industry"

Another question:

How does one hire a company to install a ginormous batcomputer, and a construction company to build an underground secret lair with a tunnel for a garage and rotating/elevating car platform huge enough for that friggin' tumbler thing he drives. And still NOT know that, this dude might be the batman. If the film has these things, then I hope Nolan explains the "realism" that Bruce Wayne did it all himself.

@MtnMan: Hire a bunch of Mexican and tell them it's a theme park.

MtnMan - 5/24/2012, 11:59 AM
I just don't think the batcave should have these things/architectural designs if it's set up to be as ::real:: as possible like all the other hoopla people keep groining about. And quit telling me that these are great comicbook movies (Nolan's, specifically) because they deal with "real" issues as well. Check your brain at the door and enjoy or don't. And yes, I meant groining. Still, I loved the first two...can't wait for this one!

Or if the Batcave is in England hire a bunch of Irishmen i.e. RorMachine.

Lol, mexicans will believe anything? Is that the message? I'd just tell them it's for the Catalina Wine Mixer...

@GA...are you serious?? So Moe Freeman built all that shit, and needed no assistance? That's right, he likes to be called Moe. Man, that's SO real.
MtnMan
MtnMan - 5/24/2012, 12:08 PM
@Equivocal - That'd be awesome, if the batcomputer did make an appearance and was showing TDK or someone in the background was watching TDK on their iPad or seomthing.

I posted something similar in the other thread. But if you see the TV spot where Catwoman is going to pick up Bruce Wayne ("my wife?") he's still limping. But in theatrical trailer #2 when he is seen in the prison with all the stairs, he looks older with graying hair and he's NOT limping.

Actually its the 1st man made or altered "Bat-Cave" in the series. In Begins he didnt alter it, he just put stuff in it.
So they make the cave, it sits unused for 8 years and after all that trouble will be used for just one story.

This has nothing to do with the article it does Bats get a new suit? I'm thinking he has to, it's been 8 years or so.
TheBurnSays
TheBurnSays - 5/24/2012, 12:27 PM
Probably NOT the Batcave. More likely the place where you hear people chanting in the trailer and where Bruce is training (push ups with the beard on!)
GuardianAngel
GuardianAngel - 5/24/2012, 12:27 PM
@Mtn Man But as we saw in TDK Bruce does know technology since he managed to tap into every phone in Gotham. All needs is Lucious's assistance.
MarkV
MarkV - 5/24/2012, 12:31 PM
Actually he doesn't have a beard when he's doing the push ups. Might be a flash back to when he was in China?

NOTHING about the timeline makes any sense. The closer you look, the more things seem totally bizarre.

In Batman Begins, Wayne Manor was destroyed, not the Batcave. So I don't know why it would be renovated.
PeterParker1991
PeterParker1991 - 5/24/2012, 12:38 PM
At the end of Batman Begins, Bruce and Alfred briefly discussed making improvements to the foundation of Wayne Manor. So while it was being rebuilt during TDK, obviously that includes a more complete Batcave. Duh.

@GA - That tech already existed, bats just used it. Even if you had a leg to stand on, still wasn't in his cave.
