James McAvoy has played Professor Charles Xavier over the course of four
X-Men movies, but his time as the character has now reached its end due to the Disney/Fox merger which will see the mutants rebooted by Kevin Feige for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It doesn't sound like the actor is done with the world of superhero movies just yet, though.
During a recent live Q&A on Instagram, McAvoy was asked who he would like to play in the DC Extended Universe. After taking some time to think about that, he revealed that he's always been a fan of The Riddler and noted,
"I’ve always thought DC does really good bad guys." We know that
The Batman will feature a number of villains so this could very easily become a reality.
It's hard to think of anyone who would be better suited to playing The Riddler than McAvoy, so we'll just have to hope that this news somehow finds its way on to the radar of writer/director Matt Reeves.
