What, in like the trilogy? Because these are way too many characters for one movie in addition to the ones who've been confirmed/rumored. The Batman Who Laughs would seem way too out of place for a detective noir film.
Also:
"With Joaquin Phoenix's take on the Clown Prince of Crime likely to be every bit as divisive as Jared Leto's"
That's just not true at all. Jared Leto got a Razzie nomination for Joker, I really don't see how Joaquin will be 1/10 as divisive.

@KingCipher - Josh is on something else, man.

@tmp3 - Isn't Joaquin already considered an Oscar front-runner?

@WakandanQueen - Yeah, the artistic director of TIFF even went and called it a "career-best performance", and he seems like an easy lock for a nomination at the very least. I genuinely have no idea what Josh is thinking, I guess because he's not 100% comic accurate he's on the level of "#damaged" now?

@KingCipher - Imagine getting batman who laughs before clayface and the mad hatter.

Imagine getting The Batman Who Laughs before The Joker.

@tmp3 - I'm pretty sure Josh just finds info on characters from a wiki somewhere and turns it into a "MUST NEED" article. Don't take any of his articles too seriously, he's not a serious journalist... and I use the term "journalist" very lightly.

I’d like to see Harvey Bullock on the big screen. They portrayed him great on Gotham, so I’d like to see a slightly more serious, but still comedic relief version of him in the DCEU. Get John Goodman to play him.

@KWilly - Sorry, don't mean to keep deleting messages. I keep getting black x's for pics even though I know full well how to post them.

I need Goodman for Calendar Man
See JG: The Gambler 2014
See Calendar Man from Arkham City

Josh when he added the word UNEXPECTED to the title:

What we really need to see is an article that's not just random characters pulled from a Batman Wiki...

Matches would be dope to see; Bruce really diving into the criminal underworld with someone like Matches, to gather intel.

I loved in the Snyder run how Bruce infiltrated the Red Hood gang with that face mask on some Mission Impossible shit.

The Batman who laughs would be to scary for the children that want to see the next Batman movie.

He would end up being toned too much.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that Dennis Quaid would make a good Commissioner Gordon?
inkniron
inkniron - 8/19/2019, 2:15 PM
@bcom - If they were going the commissioner route, maybe. I envision him more as Pa Kent personally.

@inkniron - Not a bad option also. I just think that if you slap the famous glasses and mustache on him he'd be a great Jim Gordon. He's got that gruff but commanding / leading presence that would make for a great commish.
