Well I guess that’s different from Nolan’s this is him at the very start of his career, retire almost instantly and then coming back one last time all busted up.
I love Reeve as a film maker but that batsuit has made me feel uneasy. Especially if that theory that the bat symbol is the gun that killed parents ends up being true, because that’s just stupid

@KWilly - it's very important for people to remember that Batman's parents died in a robbery, they haven't been reminded in the last 30 minutes.

Most perfect place for a new set of movies to pick up. I hope his film trilogy leaves it open for continued installments. While trilogies are beautiful and perfect for conventional 3-act structure, I'm sure we can handle a 4+ series of continued Batman films a la Daniel Craig's Bond series or Damon's Bourne series. We needn't conform to 3 films. Looking forward to this new series.

@BlackBeltJones - what about mhomas and tartha? We haven't seen them die yet

I think that is the best way to go. We already saw the origin of Batman multiple times (although I do expect some Crime Alley flashbacks) and saw enough of a seasoned Batman in my opinion

I'm not really into "n00b Batman" jist yet, I would rather have a full-fledged Bats in his prime from the get go, instead of doing another semi-origin or going too far into his later, darker years like Snyder did. But I trust this movie to deliver.

You know what? After hearing Billie Eilish's No Time to Die (which is better than I expected) and with this sudden influx of The Batman news, I think we should bring back the superhero theme song.

I just want a live action BTAS type Batman film, that’s all. No over choreographed fights, no massive expensive chase set pieces, just emotional character development. Batman’s villains are best when treated with human empathy.

@Se4M4NSt4ine - I think part of me would cry inside. happy tears of course. That show came out in 1993, I was 8yrs old. It's held up EXTREMELY WELL since then. A movie along the same lines would be amazing.

@Se4M4NSt4ine - The writer is a self proclaimed lover of BTAS. He was gushing over Mask of the Phantasm on twitter a few weeks ago. And Reeves loves The Long Halloween whose very DNA is from BTAS. I think we're in good hands

Like with Nolan, I guess this would help play with the "grounded" approach (at least for the first film).

Affleck was the one opportunity to start in the middle. I can't believe the beginning of a live-action DC universe was going to start with a near-50 year old Batman, who was going to die in [part 2 of the] first Justice League movie.
