No Director's Cut Of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES On The Way

Did you REALLY think there was going to be a Director's Cut of The Dark Knight Rises? Seriously?! Well, Christopher Nolan's reps have confirmed that the recent rumours are false and that there are no plans for an extended version of his third and final Batman movie.

There's literally no reason to think that a Director's Cut of The Dark Knight Rises is set to be released either now or before Man of Steel next June (as has been recently rumoured). There are often very few deleted scenes featured on the home releases of Christopher Nolan's films, so why anyone would believe that he'd have enough left over footage to warrant an even longer version of his final Batman film - which was nearly three hours anyway - is more than a little hard to understand. Well, The Playlist have reached out to Nolan's reps and were told that, "...no such plans exist, and reports of an extended cut of the film are incorrect." Are you disappointed by this news or was the theatrical cut more than enough for you? Sound off with your thoughts in the usual place!

Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ "The Dark Knight Rises" is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. The film is based upon characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Batman was created by Bob Kane.
