Morgan Freeman Unconvinced Ben Affleck's BATMAN Will Top THE DARK KNIGHT TRILOGY; Christian Bale Responds

Morgan Freeman talks about why he doesn't believe the new Batman will top the previous version while Christian Bale responds by sharing his thoughts on those comments and the "great" looking trailers.

Ben Affleck being cast as Batman split opinions, but the majority of fans have now come around to the idea of him taking over from Christian Bale as the Caped Crusader. However, one person who isn't convinced that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will top The Dark Knight Trilogy is London Has Fallen star Morgan Freeman. "You know, I'm happy for Ben [Affleck], but I don't know how that's gonna work," he reveals in the video above. "Because the 'Dark Knight' was almost 'it.' Pretty much 'it.' Did you see 'Batman Begins?' I don't think you can beat that."

How does Christian Bale feel about his former co-star's comments? "Everyone brings their own element to that -- Ben [Affleck] will do that as well," the actor added before weighing in with his thoughts on how the movie is shaping up so far. "I think the trailers are looking great and I'm looking forward to that. But right on for Morgan [Freeman] for saying no one will ever be that, I very much like him." What do you guys make of these comments? As always, let us know your thoughts below.
