Zack Snyder Confirms The INJUSTICE Video Game Was One Of The Inspirations For His DC Cinematic Universe
Zack Snyder previously confirmed that he envisioned Man of Steel as the starting point for a 5-part cinematic reboot for Superman. It appears Injustice was going to inspire one or more of those films.
Zack Snyder continues to unload revelations and truth bombs over on the Vero social media site. The Man of Steel director is not shy about interacting with his followers and when one fan asked if the Injustice video game series was going to inspire a future arc, Snyder responded, "Oh yes."
With the Knightmare sequence in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the brief encounter of "evil Superman" in Justice League, it's fairly easy to imagine what roads Snyder was intending to trek down before tragedy befell his family and Joss Whedon took over directing duties on Justice League.
Reaction to the revelation on the Reddit thread were definitely mixed as most felt it was way too soon to even begin planting seeds for a story like Injustice. Others Snyder supporters continue to rally behind the director no matter what and believe that Warner Bros. should look at creating an Elseworlds universe for Snyder to continue his story.
