BIRDS OF PREY CCXP Trailer Description Reveals Comic-Accurate Black Mask, Canary Cry & More

A new trailer for Birds of Prey did end up screening at CCXP tonight, but it's not expected to be released online. Fortunately, we have a breakdown of the footage, and it should make comic book fans happy!

Warner Bros. did release a new batch of character posters for Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) ahead of CCXP Brazil tonight, but the trailer that screened at the event was for attendees only. It may still find its way online at some point, of course, but in the meantime we have a few details of what was shown.

The opening scene of the movie was actually screened ahead of the trailer, and that showed Harley breaking up with The Joker and attempting to start a new life in Gotham. She gets a new place, a couple of pet hyenas (Wayne and Bruce), and... blows up Ace Chemicals!

Hey, one step at a time! You can check out a more detailed description of the sequence here.

The trailer begins in similar fashion, before Quinn's supporting characters are given the spotlight. There are various new shots of the ladies in action, and we finally get confirmation that Dinah Lance will indeed posses her "Canary Cry" from the comics. There's also a glimpse of Roman Sionis putting on what's been described as a comic-accurate Black Mask.

There doesn't appear to have been any leaks so we'll just have to wait and see if WB decides to share the trailer online. For now, be sure to share your thoughts in the comments, and check out those new posters down below.
