Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) looks like a fun ride, but there's been some disappointment among fans about the costumes the characters are wearing in the DC Comics adaptation. They're not overly comic book accurate, which is a shame when the likes of Huntress and Black Canary look so cool in the source material!

Well, with a new trailer for the movie right around the corner, a low-res TV spot has surfaced which shows Mary Elizabeth Winstead's Huntress decked out in a mask almost identical to the one from the comics (it doesn't appear to be as big, but it's definitely the same shape and colour).

We'll likely get to see more of this mask in the next trailer which has been classified and is expected any day now as Birds of Prey's February release dates draws closer. It's hard to tell from this TV spot - the mask appears around the 0:06 mark - but it seems like Black Canary may get a costume as well. She rarely wears a mask in the comics, so Huntress may be the only one hiding her identity here.

Check out the footage below and stay tuned for more on the movie as we have it.

Not interested in this in the slightest.. a gay Black Mask, a bunch of chick hero’s working with Harley who’s dealing with her break up w/ Mr. J? Wow, this sounds mind blowingly bad.. like surreal bad..

That actually looks pretty sweet from what I can tell. Too bad it will probably get the equivalent screentime as Deadshot's mask in SS.

As a kid who grew up reading DC comics in the 1990s, I'm highly offended by the way that WB has handled the cinematic side of things. So much potential and they waste their time of properties like this.

Maybe at the end it’ll be revealed that Joker had a bad burrito in the hospital commissary and he dreamed this movie.

I still don't really get who is the intended target audience for this movie.

I'm not feeling this movie either, mostly because the costume and production design looks just awful.
