BLACK ADAM Star Pierce Brosnan Teases "Visceral Feeling And Electricity" On The Movie's Set And His JSA Role

Black Adam star Pierce Brosnan has talked about the unique dynamic between the members of the Justice Society on the movie's set, while also praising what director Jaume Collet-Serra brought to the table.

Black Adam recently wrapped shooting, and we're now anticipating getting our first look at the movie at DC FanDome next month. Now, star Pierce Brosnan has shared some insight into his experience playing Kent Nelson/Dr. Fate in the DC Comics adaptation, making it clear the finished product is a team effort.

"It's an ensemble piece, Black Adam," the former 007 told Collider. "You have Dwayne [Johnson], who's at the pinnacle of his fame and fortune and success and popularity. He is magnificent as Black Adam. We are the Justice Society and there's four of us, so we became a strong quartet of actors."

"The writing was very good. There was just enough beats. You just want three good beats," he added. "If you have three good scenes to hang your hat and your heart on, then you can make something of your days. For me, Black Adam had that, and Cinderella had it, in its own specific way."

Brosnan, who has worked with a lot of great filmmakers over the course of his career, also heaped praise on director Jaume Collet-Serra. Saying he created a "visceral feeling and electricity" on set, he added: "With Jaume on Black Adam, I could say, 'What about this line? What about that line?' He had a very good ear and sensitivity."

This is high praise indeed, and it's definitely exciting that Brosnan has chosen now to make his comic book movie debut. Dr. Fate should be a great role, and it seems likely that this Justice Society has a future in the DC Extended Universe beyond just Black Adam. What that will look like no doubt hinges on how well the movie performs at the box office, though it has all the makings of a hit.

DC FanDome is fast approaching, anyway, and we're anticipating learning a lot more during that event.

Black Adam is set to be released on July 29, 2022.
