Alexandra Shipp Game For BLACK PANTHER And STORM Movie Alexandra Shipp Game For BLACK PANTHER And STORM Movie

X-Men: Apocalypse's Alexandra Shipp is totally game for a comic book movie starring Storm and Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman). Do you think Fox and Marvel Studios could ever work out such a deal?

Apparently no one has told Alexandra Shipp about the Cold War standoff between 20th Century Fox and Marvel Studios.  The current situation makes a film featuring Storm and Black Panther highly unlikely.  And for those trying to apply the same X-Men/Avengers loophole that allows Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver to be used by both studios, that doesn't apply here.  Storm has only been an Avenger for about a year, which equates to about 2.4% of the character's fictional existence since 1975.  However, who would have ever predicted the deal Marvel made with Sony for co-ownership of Spider-Man?

Still, it's nice to see that Shipp has done some research on her character.  Said Shipp, "I want that movie so bad.  I’ve got a pitch, I’m like coming up with a vision board, I want this movie to happen. Honestly it doesn’t have to be me - if Chadwick [Boseman] was likeyou know what, I really want to do this with Halle [Berry]’ I’d be like yo, that’s fine at least make the movie."

In the comics, Black Panther and Storm were married in a 2006 storyline written by Eric Jerome Dickey, Axel Alonso and Reginald Hudlin.  The two divorced in 2012 as part of the Avengers vs X-Men miniseries.

No keep the Singer-Men far away from the MCU. Don't even think about doing a crossover, not even with a potential multiverse in a few years.

@TimL - I think a Secret Wars movie could work great, but they'd need Rian Johnson for that.

Is it possible to reboot the X-Men and put them into the MCU while at the same time, keeping the Deadpool movie canon?

Would rather see a different actress for "Black Panther."

Funny how Fox-Men actors like Shipp, Jackman, and Reynolds all want to play in the MCU playground. Too bad, Fox doesn't like to play.
