Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has been shooting for the past week or so in Cambridge, Massachusetts at MIT, and vague descriptions of what's being filmed have been doing the rounds online.
Up until today, we haven't had any particularly revealing set photos, but earlier on we got a first look at MCU newcomer Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, and we now have a glimpse of two returning Black Panther cast members.
As you can see, both Danai Gurira (Okoye) and Letitia Wright (Shuri) were spotted between takes. While they're covered up in one photo to hide their outfits, the other snap unveils their snazzy civilian duds. Why T'Challa's sister and the leader of the Dora Milaje are paying a visit to this college campus remains to be seen, but there's speculation that they might be there to recruit Riri for a mission of some sort.
We still don't know a whole lot about the Marvel sequel, but Chadwick Boseman, who tragically passed away last August after a 4-year battle with colon cancer, will not be replaced as T'Challa or "resurrected" via CGI. Shuri is the favorite to take up the mantle of Black Panther, but some would prefer to see Winston Duke's M'Baku honor his old foe-turned-ally by assuming the responsibility of Wakanda's protector .
A rumor that Narcos Mexico actor Tenoch Huerta will play Namor in the movie recently did the rounds, but that obviously remains to be seen.
Marvel Studios announced that the highly-anticipated sequel will be titled Wakanda Forever during a recent Phase 4 preview. Specific plot details remain under wraps, but a brief logline tells us that "Wakanda Forever will continue to explore the incomparable world of Wakanda and all of the rich and varied characters introduced in the first film."
