BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER Unofficial Logline Teases A War Between Atlantis And Wakanda

We're taking this with a pinch of salt, but a logline for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever teases a war between Atlantis and Wakanda that will take centre stage in the upcoming sequel. Read on for details...

It was recently confirmed that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has started production in Atlanta, Georgia, and that means we have a new logline courtesy of Production Weekly (via The DisInsider).

As always, this isn't something that's been officially released by Marvel Studios, and the site has a spotty track record when it comes to this sort of thing. Sometimes, they'll share accurate synopses, and occasionally...well, they'll just copy and paste some information from a character's Wikipedia page!

This makes for interesting reading, though, and points to the Black Panther sequel featuring an Atlantis vs. Wakanda war.

"Both Wakanda and Atlantis are hidden civilizations with advanced technology and increased militaristic abilities that decided to separate themselves from the rest of the world for their own safety, and in a way, out of fear," the logline reads. "Wakanda feared that their technology would be abused. Atlantis feared that surface dwellers would come and desecrate the mythical city just as they did so many years ago. And yet their fears escalate even further when these two once-hidden nations clash with each other."

"Wakanda and Atlantis have a shockingly intertwined history. Wakanda is the only county in the world with access to Vibranium. However, rumours of its power spread throughout the world, and Namor’s human father was sent searching for this rare material in Antarctica..."

Intriguing stuff, eh?

Charles Murphy is also claiming to have learned that Namor, Namora, and Attuma are all set to appear in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, so it appears Marvel Studios is embracing the Marvel Universe's version of Atlantis (it'll be fun to see how that differs to the Aquaman franchise).

Following the tragic death of Chadwick Boseman, we don't know who will suit up as Black Panther to battle Namor, but Letitia Wright's Shuri remains one of the most likely candidates.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to be released on July 8, 2022.
