The Rock would be cool in Marvel. Who could he have played?
Urubrodi
Urubrodi - 2/26/2018, 2:27 AM
@Kevwebsz - Agreed, plus it's not like he would ever be on a DC film.

@Kevwebsz - I always thought he would of been a good Luke Cage!

@Kevwebsz - Hercules as a long time foil to Thor.

@deepee3 - Goodness. He'd be great

@pitbull76 - Do you really think that is still happening?

@Urubrodi - Well if Shazzam is i def see Black Adam happening.
Urubrodi
Urubrodi - 2/26/2018, 4:27 AM
@pitbull76 - It depends a lot on the success of that movie and how long the rock is willing to wait to play black adam. I doubt he will get his solo movie though.
pitbull76
pitbull76 - 2/26/2018, 4:46 AM
@Urubrodi - I guess we will have to wait and see.

@Kevwebsz - I like the rock but he has no place in marvel. Marvel tends to hire real actors and not just people with the right physique. I think the rock is a very entertaining actor but lets be honest, he only plays the rock

I never went to see Jumanji, but I'm glad it was a success. And I'm glad my king is the talk of the town :)

It'll be fascinating to see if his character Teth-Adam and his nation Kahndaq can have as big an impact on Middle Easterners and people of Middle Eastern decent, it would be very topical with the situation occurring in Syria and the refugee crisis, would the US embrace such a character, anything perceived Muslim or from that part of the world is a no go for the pro Trump group, it'd be the first huge middle eastern mainstream character since 9/11, a big positive step, he's an interesting complex character.

@ARMUS - It doesn’t help that he’s being played by a half black half Samoan. I got nothing against the Rock but Teth-Adam really should have been played by an Arab if you want to go the Black Panther route of exploring middle eastern cultures and themes.
ARMUS
ARMUS - 2/26/2018, 3:12 AM
@AstonishingArachnid - yes, but understandable, like Marvel casting Boseman, an American and a name, the U.S. Is the money, they'll round out the cast with middle eastern actors, Dwayne is the only reason the movie gets made if it does at all, Dwayne is half Samoan, so inevitably there's Middle Eastern blood in there, also just on a surface level, besides Reeve as Superman can't think of another actor who looks as much like the Comic character, it's very weird, If it gets made hope it bucks the trend and ends up good.
