Red Guardian Cold War series would be dope

I got the impression that Red Guardian was stronger than Captain America. He was flipping shit over way too casually

@OmegaDaGrodd - I thought he was maybe weaker; at least, he doesn't have the superhuman endurance Cap has.

It seemed like he would have these fleeting feats of strength and flip something with ease but then crash hard later. He wouldn’t display the strength consistently. Taskmaster whooped his ass.

And he got fat. Where’s that super soldier metabolism lol

Give me more Red Guardian!

For Mother Russia!!!

I think the Winter Guard makes more sense as a Soviet elite team, back in the Cold War. The movie refers to Red Guardian, Ursa “the bear” and Crimson Dynamo as relics from the past, not young candidates for the future.

About Taskmaster… look how they massacred my boy. There was nothing interesting about her. I’m so sorry about the character.

And about Yelena, she was fun, I liked the way she was written, and the actress did a fantastic job. I want to see more of her.

Yelena fine

At this point I would be surprised if this didn't get a sequel in any form whatsoever.

As for the Dark Avengers, I hope Abomination (Hulk substitute) and Hammer (Stark subsitute) are next as recruits for Val. Maybe she even show's up at the tournament we see Abomination and Shang-Chi at too

I feel like redeeming Taskmaster would be a double beat. Wouldn't that just be the Winter Soldier all over again?

@Drace24 - Probably, I’d rather they go the other way and have her become just a straight up mercenary closer to the way that he is in the comics.

@Ha1frican - Yeah, that sounds good. Comic Drake recently made a video where he called the comic version of Taskmaster the "henchmentor". He trains all these henchmen that the bad guys always have. That sounds great! I want that in the MCU! XD

All I want is more Red Gaurdian. I love David Harbour, I loved the character and whether it’s in the next Captain America movie, Thunderbolts, Dark Avengers, or whatever I hope we get that bc I thought he was great

So I have this theory/suggestion on how they could bring back Iron-man and/or Black Widow back from death in a not so shoe horned way. It would harken back to an earlier film and make sense in a very logical way. The way to bring back Iron-man and or Black Widow is with "extremis" The original purpose of extremis was to create a way for the human body to regenerate quickly to the point where you could regrow limbs. So the question would be why would Iron-man use it given the many issues it had and its instability. Well by the end of Iron Man 3, Pepper Potts was infected with extremis with Tony vowing to fix it. Since Pepper has since seemed to return to normal we can assume that Tony was successful and can now control Extermis. It would then make sense that he might use it when heading out to fight Thanos and his baddies. When he "died" it may not have been permanent if he perfected and used Extremis on himself and it took time for it to repair the damage done when Tony did his snap. If he had this technology (which we know he did) and he was able to stabilize it, why would he not use it when fighting alien super beings. It makes less sense that he did not use it and if he did use it, then maybe so did Natasha!

The 6th "set up" noted here is honestly pretty freaking stupid. Fyi

The Skrull theory is bs. A Skrull can fool Ross, the avengers, and everyone else. A Skrull cannot fool the mother[frick]ing Soul Stone.

@clornelas - absolutely this!!

No one else is going to comment on Red Guardian clearly believing he fought Cap in the 80s? That seems to set up a continued thread from TFATWS. The government has been using Super Soldiers on the DL since Cap went on ice.
Vision85
Vision85 - 7/9/2021, 2:48 PM
@malschla - interesting. I thought they were setting up the idea that even after retiring in the 40s with Peggy he would still dust off the shield occasionally and the time in the 80s was one of those times.
