It's amazing to think how far back they were planning the culmination of the Infinity Saga.

I actually like Taskmaster's helmet. It's a nice change that looks different but adds its own unique element that fits the character's theme even more than a skull.

It's actually the rest of the costume that underwhelmed me. But it looks like he's gonna be pretty cool to watch in action, so I'm excited for that.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand the complaints of Widows death in Endgame? Like honestly, if it was anybody else (Thor, Hulk or Hawkeye), I'm pretty sure people would have been 10x more outraged. Especially with those three out of the original six...

I thought they made the absolute best choices that they could have. And she didn't feel like a predictable/generic choice to die either.

@Kurne - You realise they didn't NEED to off someone like that?
Kurne
Kurne - 3/10/2020, 10:42 AM
@Nebula - well according to those same people I was referring to, characters had to die in Endgame or else "no stakes" as per usual.

They were already going on about the fact that the dusted IW characters were coming back, so they had to be fed something I guess.

@Kurne - Could've been handled in an infinite amount of different ways and doesn't have to be part of the original six.
Kurne
Kurne - 3/10/2020, 10:54 AM
@Nebula - it didn't. But that's what the writers wanted to do for Endgame (and its a set-up that I liked actually, with doing whatever it takes to bring back the dusted characters), and I thought it was handled well considering.

I of course would prefer she was around still. But again, people have complained about plot armor in the MCU movies over the years that it baffles me to no end that when it's finally peeled off, people are complaining about the opposite.

I was going to say that I'm jealous of people who will get to experience the MCU all at once the way I did the original Star Wars movies, but that's not how it works, is it?

When I watched Star Wars, it was ten years or so after they had come out. The franchise had "settled". But there's probably not a 10-year-old kid alive who hasn't seen some Marvel movie (or even pieces of one on TV). I wonder if that entire generation of kids will ever get a "fresh start" and watch from the beginning, or if it will just be background noise to their childhood (the way the Batman movies were for mine).

...Shit, all of these kids are going to grow up to be edgy teenage hipster douchebags about the MCU, aren't they?

@Spock0Clock - In my experience... most people go through a edgy douchebag phase at some point in their development/maturity... so it’ll just be more of the same.
Though... I’m not sure what a hipster is anymore... seems like everyone has a different definition...
Spock0Clock
Spock0Clock - 3/10/2020, 11:57 AM
@CapnMurphy2021 - Yeah, hipster used to mean a certain thing, but then what that was became mainstream so then it sort of became hipster to be anti-hipster or something. And when the internet offers the potential for every POV-group to be as vocal as another, it's hard to gauge what the "mainstream" thing is a lot of the time.

@Spock0Clock - yeah... I mostly don’t care... but get confused by language that used to mean one thing and now means another.. or things like “incel” which I had no idea about until recently.
Maybe I just wish people could be more clear in issuing insults/compliments... or at least specify which is which.
It’s me in my lil pic here and recently someone called me a hippie.? I’m in my 40’s and have a high and tight fade with a handlebar mustache... how is that hippie? Do people even know what they’re saying anymore? 🤷🏻‍♂️🤸‍♂️🎊

That's got to be embarrassing for you're crying over rumors on a site that peddles rumors and a child has to correct you.
