A more accurate title is "Nothing solid about Phase 4, just a bunch of guesswork on our part". And last I heard the Fox deal could be done by years end, or in early January... so even that bit is pure speculation at best, lack of investigation at worst. It's sad when bloggers consider themselves journalists.

Thor 4 isn’t happening. The Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America series are done, they’ve gotten their trilogies as well as by next year 4 Avengers movies. Everyone’s contracts are up and there’s characters waiting in the wings for sequels. They aren’t going to fill the slate with more of these characters with Spider-man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Ant-man and presumably Captain Marvel in development as well as new franchises like The Eternals, X-men, and Fantastic Four. Guardians is the only thing in doubt as far as a sequel and I’m sure with how popular that franchise is it’s just delayed not actually cancelled. I would be extremely surprised if any of the main 3 live past Avengers 4 at this point

@Ha1frican - The main 3 already died in Infinity War. The ones who turned to dust is actually the ones who survived. It adds up with with contracts and which characters we know that are getting solo movies except for Black Widow. But it could be set in the past as mentioned. Biggest reason I see for not believing in this theory is that Hulk "survived" the snap. Don't know about Ruffalos contract but I don't think Marvel wanna lose the hulk..

@ElvenKingSlayer - that’s an interesting theory but I don’t think it’s going to be the case bc if the fact that Thanos was also alongside Thor after the snap meaning he himself would have died and the fact that Spider-Man sensed his death not Tony’s. I think whoever is left is going to sacrifice themselves to bring everyone else back using what’s left of the stones. Probably not Hulk, Widow, Hawkeye or the side characters but Tony, Thor, and Cap

@Ha1frican - I think Thor 4 is a possibility. Hemsworth is all in for a deserved big pay raise. Cap and Tony do have a finality to their characters. Thor’s character doesn’t seem to have the same trajectory.

@Liverpool4life - how? Where else can the character go? His home and people have been destroyed, he’s become powerful enough to take on the full strength of the Infinity Gauntlet by himself, almost every one of his supporting characters is dead, and he’s come pretty much as far as any character can emotionally. When you look at not only how far he’s come but how little he has left especially in that scene with Rocket in Infinity War I don’t really see where else he can go. At best he could live on as a supporting character but there’s really no arc for him left anymore

@Ha1frican - He could finally accept the mantle of king he eschewed in the previous films...for more than just the 2 minutes before Thanos attacked.

Asgard needs to be rebuilt and reconnected to the other realms, and he needs to do it better than his dad did, like T'Challa. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. There's a ton of possibilities left.

Yeah nothing new here. The prospect of getting The Fantastic 4 in Phase 4 is very exciting and something I've been hoping for since phase 2 started. Now if only Disney can buy out Sony so we know Spider-Man is safe and rest easy.

@JWTheWriter - I think the Fantastic Four will end up as a series for the Disney streaming service.

@Liverpool4life - I hope they don't, they deserve the movie treatment.

@KoolerThanJesus - I guess it depends on how quickly you want the Fantastic Four. If you want a theatrical version, I think it will be a longer wait. Ultimately, it’s up to Marvel Studios.

@KoolerThanJesus - Well these limited series are said to have budgets similar to a major film production so I think it is certainly possible.
