I would like to see another Blade movie, but like 72 said, let's get DD and Punisher going first.

Also, I would be ok with Goyer if he was writing and a good director was at the helm. No directing for Goyer please

I want Wesley Snipes back as Blade but idk if he wants to return. We will find out when he gets released this year.

@marvel72 You will more than likely see a DD before a Blade film but I can see Marvel continuing the Blade franchise. After all, that was the first successful Marvel character movie. I love The Punisher but sadly he probably won't get a film soon. Who knows.

Sigh. I fell Blade & Blade 2 will Blade's best films. With Marvel Studios involved this is gonna turn out like Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

Blade has had 3 movies (2 of them awesome) and a tv series. I'm all for a Blade reboot with a less pompous ass actor but I'd rather see Daredevil and Punisher be properly done first. I could see both of them being more successful as a television series though.

Dedpool - 1/7/2013, 12:06 PM
Michael Jai White for a Blade reboot, take some of the stuff that has gone on in the recent and Ultimate comics, plus the anime and the tv series and you've got plenty of stories to tell. The series was actually very good, but should have had White in the role.
AlexDeLarge87
AlexDeLarge87 - 1/7/2013, 12:15 PM
Rather see The Tomb of Dracula on the big screen and give Blade a little cameo in that.
Connerkentver1
Connerkentver1 - 1/7/2013, 12:15 PM
Bring back Kirk "Sticky Fingaz" Jones as Blade. He was so awesome in the show. Better than Snipes in my honest opinion. And don't get me wrong I have loved and revered Snipes since New Jack City. But I thought Jones brought some serious gravitas to the role. I also enjoyed they could start a new film based off of Goyer's too shortly lived TV show. I thought the whole dynamic and story were great with his new partner and the Vampire families. [frick] You True Blood for stealing these ideas and mutating it with poor writing. I won't complain about the tits and ass though. Imagine Blade the series on HBO or Showtime, with full on [frick]ing and violence. You got yourself a hit right there.

Common wouldn't be a bad Blade. He'd be a badass Blade, but not a bad one.
AlexDeLarge87
AlexDeLarge87 - 1/7/2013, 12:17 PM
Or better yet. Lets forget Vampires and bring Werewolf By Night on the bog screen. That would rock like hell.
... If don right.
Connerkentver1
Connerkentver1 - 1/7/2013, 12:21 PM
@DukeAcureds Common would but I think most of us CBMers really want Common as John Stewart. He'll we almost got it with the defunct JLA flick with Hammer as Bats and Ctrona as Supes.
DukeAcureds
DukeAcureds - 1/7/2013, 12:22 PM
AlexDeLarge@ The Tomb of Dracula stuff was pretty much covered in Blade Trinity, but Werewolf By Night is an absolute bloody essential idea. They have to do that, one day soon. And they could cameo Moon Knight, in there. They should get Goyer to write that. Moon Knight could be the big money earner for Disney, if done right. It could be their Batman.

@IgnurRant For some that's not a "fan" of Marvel Studios or their movies you sure talk about them & complain about them ALL the time.smh, lol. Why even come on the article anyway?
DukeAcureds
DukeAcureds - 1/7/2013, 12:23 PM
Connerkent@ Common would be an awesome John Stewart, but I'm hoping that we get Hal for the JL movie.
Durf
Durf - 1/7/2013, 12:23 PM
@Alex: I'd see that for sure!
Connerkentver1
Connerkentver1 - 1/7/2013, 12:30 PM
@DukeAcureds, Hal is all but confirmed. Froggy from this site made a sweet shop of Jensen Ackles as Hal and I think WB should seriously look at him to replace Reynolds. It shouldn't be too hard seeing as he is already on payroll. Common would make a sweet Stewart. Imagine the cameo and then turning the Green Lantern franchise into a cosmic buddy cop thing. Think LETHAL WEAPON IN SPACE. I am not getting too old for that shit!
Connerkentver1
Connerkentver1 - 1/7/2013, 12:37 PM
As far as Snipes goes, leave Blade to Kirk Jones. Wesley Snipes would make THE Luke Cage. Make it happen Marvel. Him or Isaiah Mustafa. I'm shocked that this the one article that nobody has mentioned Idris Elba yet... Oops
TheAmazingSpidey63
TheAmazingSpidey63 - 1/7/2013, 12:43 PM
Again, and I'll stick by this until they do so, take all the street-level Marvel Knight heroes and give them a MCU-based tv network that co-insides with the MCU films. So have Daredevil, Punisher, Blade, Elektra, Heroes for Hire, Ghost Rider and whatnot and give them each their own show--have them cameo and interact with one another. Keep within continuity. These type of Marvel heroes need more in-depth views into their background, their origins, their journeys through a couple of story arcs, and thier arch-nemisis/foes. Just imagine this...

On tv every Monday or whatever weekday night. I'd be happy as hell if they do so.
Connerkentver1
Connerkentver1 - 1/7/2013, 12:51 PM
@TheAmazingSpidey63 that sounds like gold. We need to get this started. Everyone Street Level, hell I would even throw spidey in there, or Scarlett Spider
TheAmazingSpidey63
TheAmazingSpidey63 - 1/7/2013, 12:57 PM
@Connerkentver1 - I would, too, but then there would be many of those who would object to that, saying that he's too big of a character to be shown on small screen. But for Scarlett Spider....

Now that I would also like to see on the small screen. IF Marvel decides to go with the small screen debut for Spider-Man once they acquire the rights to him, then I'm all for that. If they don't go with that, then I'll still be fine with it. :)

Duke@ Yeah it was covered in it. But considering how bad job they did with the third. I think the Nightstalkers needs another chance.
I would love to see the story of Frank Drake, Quincy Harker and Rachel Van Helsing. And a bit more heroic version of Dracula who is trying to save the young woman Domini from the cult of Satan and its leader Anton Lupeski while struggling with his curse.
Would also love to see him losing his powers and someone else stepping on his throne as the lord of Vampires.

I already have a cast in mind.

Richard Armitage as Dracula, Charlie Hunnam as Drake, Sam Neill as Harker, Sienna Miller as Van Helsing and Javier Bardem as Lupeski.

TheAmazingSpidey63@ That would be cool.

I think a TV series would probably be better. They started the whole Avengers thing keeping it grounded in reality, which I think is why it's been so well received. Now we've got Aliens and Asgardian magic and stuff. Adding vampire lore in is just going to spin the Marvel Movie Universe even further away from where it started and veer in to the ridiculous. Also, I don't think Marvel has the film rights to Punisher yet. Doesn't Lionsgate hold that property?

I wouldn't mind seeing a 4th one if done right. Not so much a reboot though. I mean, why not do one that has Blade vs. Morbius? I liked that idea. Or How bout some crossovers with Blade, Ghostrider, and Dr. Strange?

Whatever happened to that Nightstalkers movie? No need to reboot, just bring in a better cast, like AlexDeLarge@ suggested. But keep Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Biel. I would love to see those two reunited in these roles.

I liked Blade 1 & 2, and the TV show was tits! Wish they would've given us a proper ending cuz it deserved at least that much! I still say hell no to Michael Jai White as Blade tho. How many times do I have to say it...the...guy...is...a...shitty...actor!! Sure he could pull off the physical aspect of it, but he sucks as an actor! Anyway, there are a lot of characters I think would be great for the small screen! DD being one of them! Black Panther I think would be better suited for TV. I'd love to see a movie, but don't think it would be the gold mine some people seem to think it would be. I'd like to see it set in Wakanda, and the U.S. as sort of a royal/corporate espionage spy thriller. My ass would be glued to the couch every week if the writing was strong!
TheAmazingSpidey63
TheAmazingSpidey63 - 1/7/2013, 3:25 PM
@Matio - Nope. Marvel just got back the rights to both Blade and Punisher a few years back (I think 2 years ago, it was). So we'll just see what happens with those two in the future. Plus, seeing as how busy Marvel/Disney is with so much project on their plates (IM3, Thor: TDW, CA: TWS, GotG, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, and Avengers 2), it's gonna be a while before we'll hear anything from them about Punisher and Blade. But, here's to hoping. :)

Good. Trinity was terrible. I'd imagine Ghost Rider will be reverting to Marvel some time in the near future. A Blade/Ghost Rider movie would be awesome. Throw Dare Devil and Punisher in there too. Why not?
