I keep thinking that there must be some way of saving Batman V Superman. There is so much I love about that movie. It had so much potential.

I think to myself that maybe a Final Cut would save it. Keep the opening ten minutes, even the Knightmare sequence and then re-write and re-shoot a whole other movie in order to justify all the action at the end (the titular fight and then the Doomsday stuff).

But then I watch Civil War and I realise... that is the Dawn of Justice Final Cut. They fixed absolutely everything.

@DukeAcureds - So you admit that Marvel copied BvS's plot!

Civil War played out more smoothly than BvS because it had 11 films preceding it!
Dawn of Justice's biggest fault is having to establish so many plot threads and characters in just one film!

I enjoyed the slow build, but admittedly it could have used more action and less exposition! The plot structure was similar to 2008's The Incredible Hulk in that viewers were tasked with waiting too long for the action to pick up! Even TIH had more action throughout!

Anyone who was expecting a typical popcorn blockbuster movie likely was disappointed with the finished product, but that isn't fair to the filmmakers!

Ang Lee's Hulk faced much of the same flak, but I'll chalk it up to a learning curve!
