Bad news guys.

http://www.razzies.com/forum/official-razzie-take-on-captain-america_topic5195.html

The Razzies site is usually on the mark 99% of the time (1% goes to Horton Hears a Who, which got mass critical love).

I think we're looking at the Green Lantern of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hopefully they're proven wrong and we get a great Americans-Kicking-Nazi Ass film.

For some reason the way Chris says "OK" after the host says "We find that very hard to believe" made me laugh. She's such a fangirl! It's like damn bitch I know what I looked like at 17 and you didn't, lol

So excited, I can't wait for this film!!

RoadDogXXIV: I don't put much stock in that at all. They haven't viewed the movie, they are going off of a trailer they obviously didn't get. I have seen the trailer before a couple of films now and both times the audience responded more than favorably.

the razzie website raped Cap TFA.
Not having any high hopes with the movie.Sure looks to be GL of marvel Universe with the same mistakes:
1. A comedian/sidecick/comic relief/flop actor in a lead role just like GL
2.Cheezy/witty wisecracking and one liners
3.Needless fake explosions.Wanna blow some shit,do it like Bay or don't do it.
3. The movie looks and feels like (look at the poster) like some Mortal Kombat sequel.
4.Fully clad women and naked men.Gheyy!!
5.Poor/disastrous/late promotion...
6.And the biggest,HP8 steamrolling it in the second weekend.
7.Lastly CONFUSION!! Green hornet 2==Green lantern and FF4 3=Cap TFA
Box office: $40-$45 opening weekend
Total US gross $110 mill ,foreign gross $120
Total WW= $220-$230..a box office flop.

I hope so.

Nah, usually it's the webmaster.

@ Kes - 7/12/2011, 10:10 AM

I never claimed to have top-tier credibility. Also, I forgot to mention that they threw Snakes on a Plane in 2006 (though they said that they agreed with the film's intentions) and Wanted in 2008, yet the films got stellar reviews that pretty much summed the film up.

Better news is that before the webmaster was gonna throw up Winnie the Pooh, but as soon as the reviews came in, he respectively backed down.

@ Rango

Just because you have a funny guy playing a lead role doesn't always mean he'll perform that way. For example, look at Robin Williams in "One Hour Photo." <- Creepy as HECK!

And how are you supposed to know that this movie is full of one liners if you haven't even seen the movie yet? The same goes for what you said about fake explosions.

RoadDog: I'm not saying they're wrong, they could be absolutely right. However, they do state clearly that they are only going off of a trailer and that's not much to go on if you're going to completely condemn a movie, IMO.
Rango
Rango - 7/12/2011, 10:43 AM
@hawk
a bad trailer was enough to derail GL.

@benjami
thats wat I pointed out,I haven't seen enough cuz Parmaount/Marvel haven't shown me enough..and the two trailers really don't get a avg moviegoer pumped up.Lets talk about trailers 2,was 4 Peggy Carter mag shots really needed?Shouldn't they show us some real action rather than Cap flying thru a fake explosion cloud? The action is lacking..and the anticipation never builds up.

and My biggest query that will also be raised by every moviegoer and critic..the directors/writers failure to build a Respect worthy Image of Steve Rogers.Captain Steve Rogers is nothing more than a bio-chemically pumped up dude..why should I consider him my Hero?Every man in the world can be made a hero that way,Even Elton John can be the next Captain America, just inject the serum and you got your Hero!!!
Hawksblueyes
Hawksblueyes - 7/12/2011, 10:44 AM
Rango: You're right. A bad trailer will derail a film in a heartbeat. I'm saying that from what I've seen, the majority of people are liking what they see from Caps trailers.
Benjamitesandwich
Benjamitesandwich - 7/12/2011, 10:46 AM
@ Rango, I see your point now. Thanks for clearing that up.

From all the interviews I've read I'm certain they portrayed much respect for Steve. Let's hope it turns out that way in the end.

Yesterday during the home run derby (which was sponsored by TFA) they showed a new TV spot with new footage. It showed a close up scene of Cap trying to reach for Bucky while they are hanging on to the bomber as Bucky is falling off.
