This is all filler to me. A4 trailer now.

@regularmovieguy - Is it supposed to be coming out this month or something?

@BlindWedjat

What do you mean? I meant that nothing in this prelude comic is really important enough to be in the movie.

@regularmovieguy - I mean is the A4 trailer supposed to be coming out this month? I've seen people suddenly asking for it so maybe I missed a report on the matter.

@BlindWedjat

Oh, damn. I’m not sure! If I had to guess we’ll get it next week. I think we will get it before the month’s over.👌🏻👌🏻

@BlindWedjat - I think people are asking about it because there's a pattern for late-April MCU releases to have their first trailers come out in the last week of November

Do these prelude comics ever have an effect on the film?

The only time I ever remember a tie in Comic or book affecting a film or game is Batman Arkham City Endgame where it was basically the final laugh Joker had after his death because it destroyed the Batmobile which explains the new one in the game & has Joker’s body being cremated in the comic which is how Arkham Knight starts

But even Injustice pretty much ignored all the comics tiein lore

@LEVITIKUZ

Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking too. These aren’t important enough to be deleted scenes and will have a minimal impact on the movie.

@LEVITIKUZ - yeah, this means nothing. I dont even think the writers have any say in the actual movie side. Theyre just given enough knowledge so they dont create continuity errors and sometimes villains to play around with that they arent using.

I'd love see Ultron come back. But yeah I need tp see how powerful Carol is if she really is Fury's trumpcard.

"Some fans thought it was silly for that tech to resurface in Spider-Man: Homecoming due to how long ago it was when The Avengers took place."

Never found this silly. The Battle of New York would have ramifications that span years. Aliens invaded earth. Thats a game changer thats gonna have a ripple effect for a while.

Even on the Netflix side of things, look at how it destabilized the city and allowed crime to become rampant once again.

@BlackBeltJones - The idea of Chitauri tech showing up in Age of Ultron and Homecoming made complete and total sense and was welcome, but I think 6-7 years after Avengers the MCU definitely needs to start consistently having a variety of space age tech developments since we've had at least one more invasion, one alien anomaly (GOTG2) and all the other tech developments due to advancements from Stark, Pym and Wakanda

“Even on the Netflix side of things, look at how it destabilized the city and allowed crime to become rampant once again.”

One of the reasons (for me) that these shows and movies are in separate universes. There’s no way Tony Stark, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man let Kingpin do the shit he does and let him get away with it.

Same thing with the FBI being under the pocket of Fisk. Or even these vigilantes catching the eye of Tony Stark or Nick Fury.

@BlackBeltJones - It always left me quite perplexed how people can complain about the MCU not having long lasting consequences but then complain when those long lasting consequences are put in their faces.

All of the Avengers movies (though it remains to be seen for Infinity War for now) and Civil War have had an impact and shaped other MCU movies moving forward.

@OmegaDaGrodd - One of my disappointments with the Ant-Man franchise so far is how it hasn't dived deep enough into the science stuff it has going for it. It seems like Avengers 4 would be doing that, but it goes beyond just Quantum Realm stuff. Part of it is also just that the science in those films takes a backseat in favour of the heist elements of the film, which is cool and all and was probably done to differentiate from Iron Man. But I've always felt Iron Man was more military tech and not that hard Earthly science fiction that we really don't have in the MCU since on the other side it's mystical and cosmic.

But the other day I was thinking about the Black Panther sequel and the direction it may be going in is that with Wakanda revealing its true nature to the world and opening up its borders, there comes the integration of Wakandan culture and Wakandan science with the rest of the world, which is a very interesting way to go. These guys are more or less in some version of the future from a scientific and technological standpoint. How does that affect science from the other leading countries of the world, especially now that Wakanda is entering a global village? How does that affect Wakandan culture or would it, and how does their own culture affect the rest of the world?
