I think the skrull design was fine, but I think mo cap would've been the better option

Sick. Mendo was clearly the best part of the movie.

Just saw it last night. I was surprised by the Skrull twist. Part of me wanted a secret invasion but I can see how complicated that would be to pull off at this point. Overall I enjoyed the movie. 8/10 for me.

Three things that bug me that maybe someone can help me with:

1) why didn’t they call it SHIELD from the beginning if in Iron Man Coulson says they are trying to working on the name? I wish Fury and Coulson hadn’t been SHIELD agents but after the events of the movie find out about it and go into that agency.

2) How did Mar Vell get the Tessaract? It was in SHIELD custody since WW2.

3) what constitutes as an “emergency” to Fury and Danvers? Alien invasion? Robot uprising? No? Ok.

@ImNoSuperMan - 1) Either just an overlook or Coulson was joking in Iron Man. He has very dry humor.

2) Mar-Vell was undercover on Project Pegasus and at some point gained the trust of Stark or whoever else was running SHIELD at the time and that's how she got it.

3) By the time Avenegers happened it had been 18 years so either Fury didn't expect her to come or he Just Didn't think they needed her.

Just my conclusions.

@ImNoSuperMan - 1. Makes it sound more official and impressive if you daybreaks the whole thing
2. Project Pegasus was a top secret government program using government seized assets (the cube)
3. Even Samuel L. Said “Who says I didn’t? It’s another thing altogether if she answered.”

@ImNoSuperMan - I think the Skrull twist was pretty solid, but the rest of how the Kree/Skrull war was portrayed felt like it didn't really do justice to the comics in my opinion. Maybe it were my expectations, but I expected it to be grandioser. Anyway, I don't think Secret Invasion is going to be hard at all to pull off

@TheAccuser @ImNoSuperMan

Probably an oversight. Nothing major, but it doesn’t really work with the context of the OG Iron Man movie.

@regularmovieguy - I read that his reply “we are working on it” could be taken to mean that they are working on getting the public families with who they are as they step into the public eye before hitting them with the acronym. Kinda how Federal Bereau of Investogation is now synonymous with FBI.

@DENNISsystem - LOL. That would have been such a compelling scene if they stopped the action in an Avengers film to page Cap and then wait for her to never come. Brilliant storytelling right there.

Not to mention, the Avengers beat the Chitauri and Ultron by themselves, without any deus ex machinae. That means FURY WAS RIGHT.

PSA: It's not a plot hole if they hadn't thought of it yet. That's literally what retconning is.

I really like the second one & the bottom two..I also liked how it looked in the movie.Only thing maybe would be go more green on the skin.Overall good stuff in Captain Marvel looks wise. But was a tad disappointed at the “good guys skrulls” though. But Even saying that Mendolson was awesome as Talos,And I expected a lot more on the kree/skull war.Maybe a little backstory on Korath & Ronan.Wouldve been cool to see what happens there.I wanted to see Starforce as good guys kicking some ass out in space. But was still a good movie (no ragnarok though)

@Tpo81 - Agreed, the kree/skrull war was a big let down for me. Probably because I expected more of it, but still a let down

It now makes sense why the look changed. I was apart of the group that liked the initial art before the final design but after seeing the final design I think it makes more sense for the film, with the twist and all so the Skrulls look less menacing.

I assume most of these will return for the "Bad or Warrior" Skrulls in the Future. Captain Marvel: 2000 We see Carol find them a Planet and she Goes back to Hala to finish off the Kree, Except Ronan and the Accusars stop her short. Basically all that needs to happen is Ronan is the only Accusar still living, we get a proper look at the Supreme Intelligence, and Korath teams with Ronan after he goes Proper Insane.
