CAPTAIN MARVEL Has Now Officially Passed $1 Billion At The Worldwide Box Office

We knew it was drawing near, and now we have official word that Marvel Studios' first big-screen outing for Captain Marvel has crossed the $1 billion milestone at the worldwide box office. Check it out...

Last night, Captain Marvel officially crossed the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office.

Marvel Studios' first big-screen adventure for Brie Larson's space-faring hero was on the cusp of joining the billion dollar club for the past few days, but now we have word that the movie has taken in $358.1 million in the US and $644.5 million overseas, bringing it just over the line with $1002.6B.

Should Avengers: Endgame also manage to hit $1 billion - and that's pretty much a guarantee - Marvel's "Infinity Saga" will close out with 8 of 22 MCU entries joining that illustrious club, which is pretty damn impressive.

Tell us, did you expect Captain Marvel to achieve this kind of BO success, or are you surprised by how well it's done? Drop us a comment down below.
