I really enjoyed this movie, saw it twice at Imax and brought my blueray the other day to add to my MCU collection. I think Brie did a great job in the role of Carol Danvers, as did all the supporting characters in the movie.
Was it the greatest Marvel movie, no, but its a very sold and entertaining origin movie and I'm looking forward to see where they go with the character in the future.
It would seem that I'm not alone in thinking this was a good movie as the general public liked it a lot, to the tune of Worldwide: $1,127,825,623

@hummingbird68 - I agree it is a good movie, but in my opinion the direction was just really, really bad

@MalseMarcel - I think I would make a lousy movie critic, I just like what i like. I agree the writing and direction could of been better, but overall, re-watches on Blueray haven't changed my opinion in the slightest.
Of all my friends, I'm the only comic nerd, so it was interesting to see the reactions of my friends - we always make a point of going to see MCU movies together. They all liked the movie a lot, particularly some of the ladies (most of whom also enjoyed that all female scene in Endgame)

@hummingbird68 - I hope part 2, they allow her to show her acting chops. It seems like the directors restrained her.

Brie is so cute and that smile of hers melts my heart. Wish we could see more of that in Captain Marvel.

@DwightKGroot - don't tell a strong independent woman like her when she can smile!

@Chaos200 - Just to be clear, I have no issues at all with her views.

I also have no issue when Renner called Black Widow a slut in one of the interviews. People have become too much thin-skinned these days.

@Chaos200 - Well then Brie,

@BlackBeltJones - Carol Danvers couldn't pick up Mjolnir. That's ridiculous.

But Brie Larson definitely could. And instead of lightning, it would shoot out rainbows and glitter and Eurobeat.

@Spock0Clock - I loved that movie. UNICORN STORE.

Very enjoyable and kind of classic Brie Larson. Reminded me of her Scott Pilgrim days.

@BlackBeltJones - I haven't gotten around to it myself. How would you rate Larson as a director?

@Spock0Clock - capable and talented.

She definitely has some growing to do. Its more style than substance and it tells more than shows, but Brie has an eye for great, popping visuals and she isn't afraid to lean into the wacky. Her performance really elevates it.

She just needs to get a better handle at show over tell.

Usually I enjoy comments sections. But now that the blu ray is out and both IGN and this site will be posting capt marvel articles, the vitriol from haters is at an all time high. I don't have the energy to fight it all. So Prob best I not even click on these articles!
